Precise Marginally Leads Epsom Oaks Betting Odds Market

The latest 1000 Guineas betting odds see Precise lead the market for the big race at Newmarket in May, and she is also the favourite for the Oaks.

She was beaten over 6f on debut at Leopardstown last July but upon stepping up in trip, she won four races on the bounce to see out her season.

With plenty of promise shown as a two-year-old, the world is at her feet as she tackles her Classic season.

She’s heavily fancied for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket next month and if she goes and wins that then she could shortern dramatically for the Oaks.

Precise’s best performance came in the Fillies’ Mile last season (only try at the trip) and she won that race in such great style, suggesting she’d definitely get the extra four furlongs at Epsom.

She was also due to run in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, but was pulled out on the day of the race due to coughing.

It was reported a few weeks ago that Precise had a minor setback, but trainer Aidan O’Brien confirmed she is still on target to make the Guineas at Newmarket. She’s been solid in the ante post market so there shouldn’t be any issues there.

Aidan O’Brien Searching For 12th Epsom Oaks Win

Master flat trainer O’Brien has a prolific record in the Oaks and is searching for his 12th win in the race this summer.

Winning it with the likes of Minding and Love, it’s a race usually won by superstars of his.

He won it in 2025 with Minnie Hauk and that was his first Oaks victory since 2022.

There’s no doubt he’ll have plenty of options for this year’s renewal.

With Precise and Diamond Necklace towards the top of the market, there are 14 Ballydoyle fillies entered for the race in total.

However, we have the 1000 Guineas still to come in a few weeks time, so plenty can change before the Oaks at Epsom.

You’ll be able to watch the 2026 Epsom Oaks unfold live on the ITV Racing Schedule at the start of June.
