Irish Grand National Tips 2026: 1-2-3 Selections For Fairyhouse Feature

As we enter the final few weeks of the National Hunt season, Fairyhouse still have their huge Easter Festival so check out our Irish Grand National tips for Monday’s big race.

Fairyhouse stages the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday and as usual the 3m5f contest is set to be hugely competitive.

It’s the richest race on the Irish National Hunt racing calendar with the Irish Grand National prize money standing at a whopping €500,000.

Irish Grand National Tips & 1-2-3 Selections At Fairyhouse

With 24 fences to jump and 30 horses running, it’s fair to say that picking the winner in an Irish Grand National is very tough.

However, with help from Andy Newton, we have all of the Irish Grand National trends that can hopefully steer us in the right direction.

Last year’s race was won by Welsh raider Haiti Couleurs, who will look to complete a hat-trick of marathons at Aintree next weekend when he competes in the Grand National.

Gordon Elliott will be hoping for a result of some sort at Fairhouse on Monday as he looks to stregnthen his lead in the Irish Trainers Championship.

He currently leads Willie Mullins by roughly 350,000 in prize money, but the Closutton maestro is still favourite to win the Trainers Title.

Back KISS WILL @ 14/1 EW

In a wide open renewal, KISS WILL is an interesting option with most firms set to offer five or six places on the each-way markets.

His trainer Willie Mullins has won two of the last six runnings and this novice could bring plenty of improvement upped in trip.

He won over three miles as a novice hurdler and whilst he is yet to win over fences, going up in distance is something he might just need.

Kiss Will is very lightly raced and more unexposed than many of the field. He didn’t run badly at all in the Jack Richards at the Cheltenham Festival over 2m4f, which was likely an inadequate trip.

The softer ground here should also suit and he seems extremely well handicapped. He’ll run off a 2lb lower mark here than at Cheltenham and he rates a confident each-way selection. Mullins also won the race with a six-year-old in 2019 (Burrows Saint).

As for those to follow my selection home, The Jukebox Kid has been trained for this all season and Ben Pauling’s progressive staying chaser should relish this test. He’s unbeaten on right-handed tracks over fences and British trainers have a steady record in this race. His stable have had a fine year and he can run a good race here.

Given we know he stays, course and distance winner Better Times Ahead looks to be the best chance of the JP McManus runners. He won at Fairyhouse back in November and found 2m3f way too short last time out at Naas. That looked to be a prep run for this and he can make the frame for trainer Robert Tyner.
