Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇
2:10 Kelso: KHRISMA (NAP)
A big pot of £50k on offer here and so it’s significant the Nickey Henderson team head on the long trip to Kelso to target it.
This JP McManus mare has caught the eye of many in recent runs, including winning well at Soutwell earlier this month and the form of that race has been boosted since with the 6th Edith Pelham, who was beaten 24 lengths, winning since.
Hendo also targeted this race with success in 2022 and Nico heads up to ride, on what is also his only mount on the day.
12st makes life harder, but off a mark of 128, this 6yold still looks well-treated.
So, Khrisma is the call to have too much ‘charm’ for this lot.
Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇
1:00 Kelso: HOLLYGROVE CHA CHA
I like this Jamie Snowden mare – she shows a likeable attitude when running, including when winning last time out when seeing off a fair sort in Jubilee Alpha.
She’s up in trip here to 3m 1/2f, but I think that can only eke out more improvement and will head here 4-6 over the smaller obsctacles.
Having bypassed Cheltenham too is another running today that has been freshened up (42 days) and the Snowden camp are going great guns this season with 75+ winners.
Hollygrove Cha Cha can ‘dance’ home again.
1:15 Newbury: KOCKTAIL BLEU
Second in the Dovecote last time out looks the best form on offer here and the Chris Gordon team like to target this race – with two wins in the last five.
Back in grade here will help a tad too and if reproducing his second to Baron Noir from earlier in the season should be landing the drinks money here.
2:25 Newbury: HELTENHAM
Will probably need a career-best off this mark of 140, but this Dan Skelton runner does seem to save his best ofor Newbury.
Has won here four times, including last time in the Greatwood Gold Cup.
The form of that run has been franked since with Blow Your Wad and Teddy Blue both running well since.
While the pick also has history in this race – winning the pot in 2023 and 2024.
I’ll take Heltenham to make it three.
Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇
3:00 Newbury: FRESH AS A DAISY
Was second to Indannya at Warwick the last day, but gave away 7lbs that day and now this Hendo mare gets 5lbs.
Meaning she’s 12lbs better off with that rival, and is taken to reverse that form.
Yes, there are still many others in the race to beat, like Charisma Cat, Getawhisky and Strong Run.
However, the pick looks the sort to have more to come and gets the services of Cheltenham Festival-winning rider James Bowen.
While, as oposed to some of the others, a 80-day break will also bring here here ‘Fresh As A Daisy’.
3:20 Bangor: NORMAN FLETCHER
The Four Sixes is noted, having won this race last season well, but is now 4lbs higher and not been in the best of form of late.
That said, could easily bounce back at at track we know he likes.
But the one of more interest is the Twiston-Davies entry Norman Fletcher.
Yes, the longer trip is a small worry, but the better ground will help on that score.
He’s another that needs to bounce back too, but his mark continues to drop and is now rated 118, which is 5lbs lower than his last winning rating.
Connections also won this race in 2024, the last three winners were aged 7 and the final plus is the yard boast a decent 67% SR with their runners over hurdles here at Bangor.
A chance is taken on Norman Fletcher putting his rivals in ‘jail’ here.
2:40 Newbury: DIAMOND DEALER
This Dan Skelton runner isn’t probably much of an e/w price, but I wanted to get him in somewhere today.
He went closes the last day at Wetherby, when just collared in the closing stages over a longer trip.
Therefore the drop back in distance today is a big plus.
Jockey Tristan Durrell also does well riding over fences here (3-6, 50%) and the Skelton yard boast at 40% return with their chasers at this venue too.
He could get and easy lead out in front and if so Diamond Dealer is the pick to ‘sparkle’.

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?
The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?
In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.
The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.
You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?
It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.
In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.
How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?
A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.
It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:
- 6 Doubles
- 4 Trebles
- 4 Singles
- 1 Four-Fold
That’s where the 15 comes from.
A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?
Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.
So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.
If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.
How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?
To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.
Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.
Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.
Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.
That’s it — you’re in.
