Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇
3:40 Sedgefield: A KING OF MAGIC (NAP)
Former champion trainer Paul Nicholls doesn’t have many runners up at Sedgefield – but when he does we should take notice.
Why?
Well, the Ditcheat handler has a stonking 83% SR (5-6) record with his hurdlers at the venue, which is why his A King Of Magic is of interest today.
This 5yold also caught the eye the last day, when finishing with a rattle to win at Taunton last month.
Has had 35 days to get over that run, but with only two runs over hurdles you feel he’s got bit more to come.
Life is harder with 11-12, but his two main rivals also have this weight and Nicholls has booked Freddie Keighley, who was on the last day, to take off a handy 5lbs.
Keighley also does will at Sedge, as he brings a 3-4 (75% SR) to the table and is 3-3 over hurdles here.
So, with these monster trainer/jockey strike-rates at the track – I’ll take A King Of Magic to make his rivals disappear here.
Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇
2:40 Sedgefield: BALLIN BAY
Just the three runners here and you can make a case for them all.
But the safest option looks to be Ballin Bay, who bolted up by 14 lengths here last time.
Also won at this venue the time before, so we know the track is fine and is only up 5lbs from that last success.
3:10 Sedgefield: COSMIC SOUL (NB)
Another horse that won at Sedgefield last time out and is back off the same mark.
Escapes a rise as his last win came in a conditional jockeys’ race – but William Maggs, who rode the last day, can take off 3lbs this time.
Up in trip here (2m 4f) too is expected to suit after staying on well the last day over 2m 1f – plus has run well on the flat over 2m, so you feel this distance over the sticks will be within range.
3:50 Ludlow: RUMOURSAREFLYING
Fourth at Donny the last day, but was only beaten just under 5 lengths when getting tired in the closing stages.
Back slightly in trip here will help and has been given three months off to get over that run.
Is also back to Ludlow today – a track he won at two starts ago.
Up 3lbs for that win, but did it well (2 1/4 lengths), with the final plus the SR of the Pam Sly yard here.
They boast a 2-2 return at the moment with their recent runners.
Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇
5:00 Cork: STARDHEM
This Edward F Power runner was a pulled-up beaten favourite last time at Lingfield, when trained by Ben Pauling.
Has switched yards since and been given 2 months off, but the fact he was sent off 7/2 the last day suggests he’d been showing something.
Connections are putting the hood on today for the first time and is back below his last winning mark.
That win came at Huntingdon last February off 85 and he’s now rated 83 (with a 7lb claimer) over hurdles.
Yes, does, need to bounce back, but at the odds does look interesting.
5:10 Sedgefield: KLITSCHKO
Klitschko knocked out his rivals in this race last year and is back rated 2lbs lower to do so again.
His last two runs have been a bit more encouraging too, so suggest a return to form could be around the corner.
Yes, he unseated the last day at the 4th, but was running okay at the time – albeit with a lot of the race still to come.
While before that was 5th (of 15) at Catterick and is now 2lbs lower.
With Brian Hughes on the sidelines injured, Danny McMenamin takes over.
5:35 Cork: THE BESTY WOMAN
The Willie Mullins runner Emerald Enigma could make the others green with envy here, but is no value in the betting.
So a chance is take on the Henry de Bromhead runner The Besty Woman, who wasn’t disgraced when 4th (of 25) last time at Naas.
Before that had run in behind Old School Outlaw and the form of that last run has been franked since with the 5th Healys Pub winning earlier this month.
The de Bromhead camp also do well with their NH Flat runners at Cork – with a 44% SR return.
Worth Knowing Today 🤔
🏇5:25 Newcastle: Horses drawn between stalls 4-6 have won 4 of the last 5 runnings
🏇3:40 Sedgefield: Trainer Paul Nicholls has a massive 83% SR (5-6) with his hurdlers at Sedgefield
🏇5:35 Cork: Trainer Henry De Bromhead has a 44% SR with his NH Flat runners at the track
🏇3:30 Cork: 6 of the last 8 winners aged 5 or 6
🏇Willie Mullins has a 36% SR with his hurdlers at Cork
🏇4:30 Cork: Just one winning favourite in the last 10 runnings
Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️
🏇5:10 Sedgefield: KING SACRE (315 miles), Nigel Hawke
Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌
🏇7:30 Newcastle: BLUE LAKOTA
This Kevin Ryan-trained 4yold has obvious claims – winning well here three starts ago and only just beaten into third the last day.
Kevin Stott, who was on last time, rides again and he’s off the same mark (74).
However, my niggle is that all five career wins have come off lower marks and also in lower grades.
He’s back up to a Class 4 today and is 0-4 at this level in recent runs.
His last win also came off a 2lbs lower mark and with a 3lb claimer riding – meaning he’s really 5lbs worse off today.
At the prices and based on all of the above – I’d rather look elsewhere for the winner.
Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?
The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?
In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.
The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.
You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?
It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.
In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.
How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?
A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.
It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:
- 6 Doubles
- 4 Trebles
- 4 Singles
- 1 Four-Fold
That’s where the 15 comes from.
A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.
If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.
How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?
Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.
So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.
If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.
How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?
To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.
Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.
Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.
Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.
That’s it — you’re in.
Will There Be Any Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Tomorrow?
