Uttoxeter Midlands Grand National trends and stats ahead of today’s big race

Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

2:45 Chepstow: BOULTYDOOLIN (NAP)

This Rebecca Curtis runner, who is a former Point-to-Point winner, caught the eye last time at Newbury.

He ran on well behind a fair sort in Swindon Village to take second, but that came over 2m 4 1/2f and today’s longer trip (2m 7 1/2f) looks sure to suit.

Looks to have Island Bridge to beat, who sets a fair standard, but is also a tad exposed now with three silvers in recent runs.

Ben Jones rides the pick.

Horse Racing NB Tip 🏇

3:32 Market Rasen: NATUS VINCERE (NB)

Won with a bit up his sleeve the last day at Huntingdon, despite the winning 1 3/4-length margin.

Will tackle slightly better ground today but did win a Point on good back in May 24 to suggest it will be fine.

With only five career runs there will be more to come and Sean Bowen rides.

In a weak race, it will be a shock if this 7old  is going in again.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

1:47 Market Rasen: ROCCONTIER

According to the betting, this race has little depth – with the top three in the market likely to fight this one out.

Guts And Glory and Cotton Socks have both run, but a chance is taken on the unraced Hendo horse, who is strong in the betting.

He comes from the family of former useful staying hurdler Mighty Man and so might want further in time.

But the Seven Barrows yard continue in fair form after a decent Cheltenham and this is also Nico’s only ride on the day.

3:45 Curragh: SIGNORA

Decent Aidan O’Brien filly that was last seen running 9th in the G3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot last June.

Was slightly disappointing that day as the beaten favourite, but before that had run Lady Iman to 2 1/2 lengths on debut.

Connections have taken their time with her since and down in grade look to have found a good race to get her that first career success.

Ryan Moore rides.

Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇

Each-way horse racing tips

Each-way horse racing tips

3:20 Chepstow: BETTER OFF ALONE

Yet to score after seven career runs but his last two runs weren’t bad, when third and fourth.

The last of those came over a trip too short (2m) so the step up to 3m today looks a good move.

While the Martin Keighley yard boast a 38% SR with their chasers at Chepstow.

4:20 Curragh: ORANDI

This Tony Martin miler landed the Irish Lincolnshire 12 months ago and in a very competitive renewal, this looks to have been the target again.

Is rated 6lbs higher this time but has had the same prep, having run here at the Curragh back in November last time.

Draw 13 gives him options and Ryan Moore catches the eye in the saddle.

5:05 Chepstow: BALLYBREEZE

Last seen running down the field at Cheltenham in November (6th of 11) – but that was a better race than this.

Before that won well last April here at Chepstow and is only 2lbs higher here.

The drying ground will be in his favour too and has gone well fresh in the past, so the 115-day break isn’t too much of a worry.

Regular rider Sam Twiston-Davies is in the saddle and being 2-2 over fences here at Chepstow he’s worth a small e/w dabble at a fair price.

Especially as the Drinkwater yard are also 2-3 (67%) with their chasers at the Welsh venue.

Worth Knowing Today 🤔

🏇NO SELECTION TODAY (Sunday, 15th March)

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

    • 6 Doubles
    • 4 Trebles
    • 4 Singles
    • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

    That’s it — you’re in.

Will There Be Any Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Tomorrow?
