Horse Racing Lucky 15 Tips – Today’s ‘Muggy’ Favourites Acca 📝😉

  • 1:20 Cheltenham: OLD PARK STAR (NB)
  • 2:58 Sedgefield: REBEL TRIBESMAN
  • 4:00 Cheltenham: LOSSIEMOUTH
  • 7:15 Southwell: CALIBAN (NAP)

Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

7:15 Southwell: CALIBAN (NAP)

Bolted up the last day at Kempton under Oisin Murphy and he’s back at Southwell for just two rides tonight.

This is one of those and this four-raced gelding is into a handicap for the first time here, but looks on a fair opening mark of 82.

He had 3 1/4 lengths to spare at the line that day and could have been further.

The Andrew Balding yard remain in rude form too with 7 winners from their last 23 sent to post to add further confidence.

Horse Racing NB Tip 🏇

1:20 Cheltenham: OLD PARK STAR (NB)

This Nicky Henderson horse seems to be one of the only ones holding his place in the market with a lot of the others drifting.

The Seven Barrows yard have landed this Cheltenham opener five times in the past and heads here after a top win last time at Haydock.

He slammed Hurricane Pat by 18 lengths that day, which looks fair form, plus is the only course winner in the field, which will be a big plus.

The Hendo yard are also heading to the Festival in good order and so Old Park Star to the call to shine to get favourite backers off to a flyer.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

2:58 Sedgefield: REBEL TRIBESMAN

Gavin Sheehan heads to Sedgefield today to ride this Jamie Snowden horse and it will be a shock if he’s not grabbing a winner here.

He won a bumper at Aintree last May and connections look to have found a good race for him to get going over hurdles.

4:00 Cheltenham: LOSSIEMOUTH

Was finally routed here instead of the Mares on Thursday and this now makes the race a much better spectacle.

She’s a three-time Festival winner after two Mares’ Hurdle wins and winning the Triumph in 2023 – plus if 4-4 at the track overall.

Yes, she’s probably a better horse over 2m4f, but you feel her main rival The New Lion is also.

The pair are both rated 159, but Lossie gets the handy 7lbs Mares’ allowance here and that can prove the difference in the first-time cheekpieces.

Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇

2:40 Cheltenham: GLEN TO GLEN

The Joseph O’Brien yard have a top record in the Fred Winter, with 3 wins in the last 7 – his two runners Dignam and Glen To Glen are interesting.

But with J J Slevin having ridden Dignam last time, it could be significant he’s picking Glen To Glen here.

This 4yold was 4 th in the Golden Gates Handicap at Royal Ascot last year and has done well since going over hurdles this season.

Won well back in December at Cork and the third has since come out and won to boast the form.

He’s been kept fresh since, with this the target and can go close to carrying on the good run in the race for the yard.

3:20 Cheltenham: HYLAND

This Nicky Henderson runner will like the better ground and is a horse that does act well here at Cheltenham – with three wins at the track.

He’s also down to a mark a pound lower than when last winning (143) and ran well the last day when close up behind Deep Cave (1 ½ lengths) at Ascot.

10 of the last 16 winners had run at Cheltenham that season too and he did at the October Meeting.

While Hendo have form in this race – winning the pot in 2019 and 2000.

4:40 Cheltenham: ZURICH

Won here at the October Meeting and despite being 9lbs higher looks a decent option here for the Henry de Bromhead yard.

Has since run third at Doncaster to Jordans Cross and that form has been franked since with the winner going in again.

Freshened up with 3 months off and the last seven winners of the Plate had ALL won at Cheltenham earlier that season – he’s the only horse in the field that ticks this stat so it’s hard to leave him unbacked.

5:20 Cheltenham: NEWTON TORNADO

No – I’m not just backing this horse due to the name – but it is still the best-named horse running at the Festival this year.

Yes, his jumping can let him down at times but has still only had four career runs over fences, so he’ll hopefully improve with each one.

Is up 6lbs, which looks fair, for his recent Doncaster win, but this is another race that the form has been franked with the 2nd and 3rd winning since.

While even a horse pulled up in that race has come out and won since.

The added plus is the Rebecca Curtis yard winning this last year with Haiti Couleurs, so will be keen to follow up.

Let’s take the Newton Tornado to storm home in the lucky last.

Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌

🏇8:00 Wolverhampton: DINGWALL

Not the most straight-forward of horses, so things need to fall right for him.

Was a close second at Wolves the last day here but is up another 2lbs for that and is still 10lbs higher than his last win.

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

      • 6 Doubles
      • 4 Trebles
      • 4 Singles
      • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

      That’s it — you’re in.
