Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

1:40 Warwick: SO YOU KNOW (NAP)

They Bailey/Nicholls camp continue to be in decent order and this 5yold looks to have a solid chance today.

This is a conditional riders race too, but connections have booked a 10lb claimer to help with the 12-1 weight.

I don’t know much about the jockey, but  he comes here 2-6 so far so has at least won a few races.

This horse was last seen back in November when second at Market Rasen – form that looks solid and is tied into the recent Morebattle Hurdle winner Captain Hugo.

Horse Racing NB Tip 🏇

4:37 Naas: BALLYGUNNER CASTLE (NB)

Fell last time at Punchestown when in the process of running well up top.

Was a strange fall as seemed to jump the fence well, but just buckled a bit after landing.

That came on NYE so connections have given him two months to get over that.

And on his second the time before at Punchestown looks the one to beat if none the worse for that tumble.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

2:20 Carlisle: MOLLY’S LAD

This Fergal O’Brien runner was a decent third last time at Donny in what looked an above average race – with Mustang Du Breuil winning.

This looks easier today and the capable Fern O’Brien continues in the saddle to take off a handy 5lbs.

2:40 Warwick: WONDERING WHY

King Al is noted getting weight, but the Ben Pauling runner Wondering Why was a nice winner at Lingfield in January and is taken to kick on again.

He had five lengths in hand at the line that day and with only three runs over hurdles will have more in the locker.

48 days since that last run have freshened him up too and top jock Ben Jones rides.

Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇

4:02 Naas: BALLYBOW

Bushmans Pass won the Leinster National last season and is respected off just 3lbs higher.

But the Gordon Elliott runner Ballybow also looks interesting off just 10st, plus has Josh Williamson taking off another 5lbs.

He’s a course winner here over hurdles and seemed to take a step forward last time at Gowarn Park when 4th (0f 8) over shorter.

The step back up in trip looks a plus and will be fine with the dig underfoot.

4:48 Warwick: JUPITER DES BORDES

The Richard Hobson yard are going well at the moment and this course winner looks fair e/w value today against the favourite House Of Habsburg.

This 7old is a course winner at the track, when winning here back in December and has overall form here reading 3-3-1.

Yes, he’s 12lbs up from his last win but is dropped a few pounds from last time when 5th at Newbury.

But is back up in trip here and having run Egbert to 3/4 of a length over 3m 4f at Haydock at the end of December we know he stays it.

While, finally, the slightly better ground also looks in his favour today.

Worth Knowing Today 🤔

🏇2:30 Naas – Trainer Willie Mullins has won the last two – Davy Crockett
🏇5:12 Naas – Willie Mullins has a 40% SR in NH Flat races at the track and Patrick Mullins 33% – Poetisa
🏇2:50 Carlisle – Trainer Anthony Honeyball is 3-3 at the track with his chasers – Credo and Blackjack Magic
🏇3:20 Carlisle – Trainer Donald McCain has won 2 of the last 3 runnings – They Want Me

Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️

🏇2:50 Carlisle: CREDO (337 miles), Anthony Honeyball

Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌

🏇No selection today (Sunday 8th March, 2026)

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

    • 6 Doubles
    • 4 Trebles
    • 4 Singles
    • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

    That’s it — you’re in.

Will There Be Any Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Tomorrow?

Yes — simply bookmark this page and we’ll update it with a fresh set of Lucky 15 horse racing tips tomorrow.
