Horse Racing Lucky 15 Tips – Today’s ‘Muggy’ Favourites Acca 📝😉

  • 1:40 Exeter: ON THE BAYOU
  • 3:20 Ayr: LARGO GO (NB)
  • 4:00 Leicester: MOLTO BENE
  • 4:43 Exeter: TED THE THIEF (NAP)

📈 See Andy Newton’s horse racing NAP results for 2026 below ⬇️

Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

4:43 Exeter: TED THE THIEF (NAP)

Showed a good attitude to win his last two at Taunton and despite being hiked up another 7lbs here looks worth sticking with.

He’s only had four runs over fences so you feel there is more to come and the way he ran threw the line the last day was encouraging.

The 6old has had three weeks to get over that run and looks to have the main danger as CD winner Lightonthewing, who is now 11.

I’ll take the younger legs to prevail and Ted The Thief to steal the money again.

Horse Racing NB Tip 🏇

3:20 Ayr: LARGO GO (NB)

Makes the long trip up from the Jonjo O’Neil yard and that’s expected to pay off.

Former Pointer that was a big-money buy for JP McManus, and had a pleasing debut at Lingfield last month.

Ran on well to take second that day but also lost a shoe in the race.

Likely to be better over further in time but that run is sure to have brought him on and should be hard to beat.

He’ll have most to fear from Lance Les Des, who comes from the Alexander yard that have won the last two runnings of this.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

1:40 Exeter: ON THE BAYOU

Got chinned last time by 300/1 winner Blowers here on heavy ground.

But that freak result was probably due to the desperate conditions and this Harry Fry runner has since had 78 days to get over that.

On better ground today and a freshen up this 6yold is taken to gain his first win under rules.

4:00 Leicester: MOLTO BENE

Likeable mare who ran second behind the useful Panic Attack last time at Newbury.

Doesn’t meet anything of that class here and heads here 2-3 over fences after nice wins at Bangor and Huntingdon.

Lilly Pinchin rides this mare too – so it’s ‘girl power’ all the way here.

Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇

2:10 Exeter: ZAINY CHAMP

The Jeremy Scott yard like this race – they’ve won the last two.

They try again, this time with this course winner who was a winner over hurdles here in December.

Over fences for the first time today but sure to be well-schooled and starts off down in grade in a Class 5.

With the good record of the yard in this race Zainy could easily be the ‘champ’ here.

5:12 Dundalk: NOTFORALONGTIME

Fifth the last twice here – not beaten far and is back dropped a pound.

Stays a bit further than this 7f trip too, so jockey Wayne Hassett, who has won on him in the past, can make full use of that.

But is also a CD winner here at Dundalk and the Laura Hourigan yard are in good order and also boast a 32% SR with their older horses at this venue.

7:30 Newcastle: SHATIN VENTURE

This Linda Perrett runner took this pot 12 months ago and looks a good option to go in again.

Yes, only a classified race, but that means it won’t take much winning either.

He heads here off come fair runs in handicaps too, but dropped in grade here will give him a better chance.

Amie Waugh, who has ridden him the last twice, rides and claims 3lbs.

Worth Knowing Today 🤔

🏇2:10 Exeter: Trainer Jeremy Scott has won the last 2 runnings – Zainy Champ
🏇3:10 Exeter: Favourite has won 4 of the last 5
🏇2:50 Ayr: Lucinda Russell has won the last 2 – Society Soldier
🏇3:50 Ayr: Trainer N W Alexander has won the last 2 – Plantin Moon

Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️

🏇3:20 Ayr: LARGY GO (335 miles) Jonjo O’Neill
🏇4:20 Ayr: ASSERTIVE WALK (335 miles) Jonjo O’Neill

Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌

🏇8:00 Newcastle: PIT BOSS

Often runs well here but has only won the once from 23 career starts.

That came off a mark of 54 three runs ago over CD, but is now rated 4lbs higher.

Another bold bid on the cards but with a career best needed again I’m happy to look elsewhere for the winner.

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

  • 6 Doubles
  • 4 Trebles
  • 4 Singles
  • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

That’s it — you’re in.
