Thousands of horse racing fans will be heading to Prestbury Park in March and many may be wondering how much is a pint of Guinness at the 2026 Cheltenham Festival? See the full drink prices further down the page.
Here, we break down the price of Guinness at Cheltenham during the festival which runs from March 10th-13th. We will also list the expected cost of other popular drinks including beer, cider and wine.
A Pint Of Guinness At Cheltenham Festival Costs Punters £7.50 For 2025/26 Jumps Season
According to reports, approximately 265,000 pints of Guinness were sunk at last year’s festival which was roughly a 45,000 increase from 2024.
In 2025, a Guinness at the Cheltenham Festival would cost racing fans £7.80, but that price has been reduced by 30p this time around, now costing £7.50.
If the same amount of Guinness is drunk as last year, this would total £1,987,500 in revenue just on pints of the ‘Black Stuff’. However, with it now costing 30p less, Cheltenham Racecourse will see a loss of £79,500 in revenue compared to 2025.
The decrease in Cheltenham Festival Guinness prices came after criticism from the public.
Course chief executive Guy Lavender said the following:
“We regularly benchmark our food and beverage prices alongside other major sports venues and comparable events. Despite being subject to the same increases in goods and services as all industries, we have taken the decision to reduce the price of draught beers and cider for the 2025/26 season.”

Cheltenham Festival 2026 Drink Prices Changed As Bars Refurbished
As well as Ladies’ Day returning to replace ‘Style Wednesday’ for the first time since 2019, there have been changes to bars around the course as well.
Two bars within the main grandstand, Cottage Rake and Mill House, were refurbished and reopened at the Showcase meeting in October 2025.
Instead of two separate bars, it is now known as one bar, named Prestbury View. There will also be a brand new food court for Cheltenham Festival fans to enjoy after it was introduced to the tented village earlier on in the season.
