The Cheltenham Festival is HERE!
Everyone is clambering for a cert to give their bank balances boost and they should look no further than here. I have been given all the exclusive predicted winners from the @nap.kin_king Instagram tipster!
Whether you’re a big racing fan or a part-time racing bettor, The Festival is an event everyone knows about. Millions at home watched and over 260,000 racegoers attended the last year’s festival over the course of the four days.
This year Day 1 will host the UNIBET Champion Hurdle. A battle between top contenders Apple’s Jade (Won 14 of 20 and has never finished outside of the top 3) Buveur D’Air (Won 16/of 20 and has only lost once under Barry Geraghty ) Laurina (Won 6 of 8 and is unbeaten under Willie Mullins) Which horse will prevail? Or could an outsider rain on their parade?
The event is not to be missed and what better way to be prepared than to have the top tips for all seven races.
Here’s who the @nap.kin_king thinks will come out on top…
Supreme Novices' Hurdle: Al Dancer
Unbeaten over hurdles, this 6-year-old gelding sets himself up as the favourite for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. Conditions and trip will suit nicely after winning four times on good to soft ground (1m 7f – 2m 1f). Looking for a bigger challenge after beating duel hurdle winner Getaway Trump by 7L. Should dance over the line.
Arkle Challenge Trophy Novices' Chase: Glen Forsa
In fine form this season, beating Kalashnikov by 12L last time out running over 2m, the ground looks to suit nicely. Set to storm the race on paper, however, stronger competition could bring an upset.
Ultima Handicap Chase: Lake View Lad
Moving into Cheltenham with 2 wins in December. Won comfortably at Wetherby over 3m on Boxing Day beating Captian Chaos by 4L. Bookies have him as an outsider at 20/1 but he’s not to be ruled out of this contest.
Champion Hurdle Challenge Trophy: Laurina
This 6-year-old mare is unbeaten with Mullins and goes into Cheltenham to take on the big names. She is yet to be given a challenge, beating Stormy Island in her last race comfortably by 6L. Her closest race in the UK yet! Beating others by 8L – 48L. Serious contender.
Mares' Hurdle: Benie Des Dieux
Unbeaten with Mullins, winning this race and a Grade 1 at Punchestown last spring. Haven’t seen this horse in action for 318 days, but definitely a well backed favourite.
Novices' Handicap Chase: Movewiththetimes
This horse has shown a lot of potential in the last few races, although not finishing. Stayed on 3 out to Frodon in his last run before falling on the second last. Needs to tidy up his jumping if he’s going to win, however trip and ground suit nicely.
Amateur Riders' Novices' Chase: Atlanta Ablaze
Got plenty more to offer beating Molly Childers by 15L last time out under D Jacob. Longer trip may suit. Carrying lowest weight. At 14/1 she could be a bigger contender than bookies make her out to be.
