The 2018 Grand National is set to be affected by bad weather conditions as the weather forecast predicts rain during the three-day Festival, according to a report on the Mirror.
The Grand National is one of the biggest sporting events of the year, with thousands of people going to Aintree to witness some of the great moments in the sport.
However, this year’s mood in Merseyside could be dampened hugely by the weather, with severe rain expected on Thursday and Friday.

There will be a total of 21 races taking place before Saturday’s main event, with the festival kicking off on Thursday afternoon. There is expected to be rain throughout Thursday morning but there are hopes that it should clear in time for the first race.
Friday is also going to see rainfall, but it will be a lot heavier. Spectators have been advised to take umbrellas and raincoats with them and with such heavy rainfall, the race track could be affected.
Thankfully, the best weather over the three days is set to come on Saturday, the day of the Grand National. This is good news for all 40 of the horses which are set to run in the race.
Saturday is unlikely to see any rain at all but with the rain from the previous days, the going of the ground for the main event is most likely to be soft.
