Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies has given the ride of Grand National favourite Blaklion to his son Sam ahead of Saturday’s Grand National trial at Haydock.
Fancied early for the National, Nigel is hoping the association with Blaklion and Sam Twiston-Davies can be carried through to the race itself at Aintree in April.

With a great performance in the
Alongside Blaklion will be Colin Tizzard’s horse The Dutchman, who won the Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock last month at a canter will be one to keep an eye on, with Danny Cook in the saddle.
Philip Hobbs’ mare Three Faces West has had an injury-blighted season, but will be hoping to bounce back in this trial race.

Tom George puts forward Wild West Wind, who was having a great race in the Welsh National before falling at one of the fences.
Paul Nicholls runs Silsol, and the winner of the Eider last year – Mysteree – will represent Michael Scudamore.
