King Of Persia Wins Redcar Nursery Result at 9/1

King Of Persia won the Happy Birthday Mark Holton Nursery Handicap Stakes at Redcar on Wednesday at 9/1. According to the official Redcar nursery result, jockey David Allan struck the front inside a furlong and King Of Persia drew away to win by one length from Son Of A Fish, with a winning time of 1m 42.14s.

The shot had dwelt at the start but Allan seized command decisively early in the mile contest. The winning performance earned a rating of 63 for the Tim Easterby-trained gelding, which benefited from a clear pace through the opening furlong to set up the decisive move. Michael & David Easterby also featured in the Redcar nursery result, with Diplomacy third and Wells Fargo Stage fourth, as the stable made an impact across the card.

King Of Persia Claims Clear Victory

The Redcar nursery result saw the favourite Hope Of Acklam (13/8F) unable to run to form, fading to last. The card’s feature, the Future Stayers Novice Stakes, delivered Golden Souk at 11/8F for trainer K. R. Burke and jockey Paul Mulrennan, winning by 1.75 lengths over Beyond Question. We assessed Golden Souk’s short odds in our morning preview, and the favourite duly obliged with a decisive performance in the closing stages. Flower Youmzain (15/8F, Kevin Ryan) claimed the Weatherbys Stallion Book Nursery by drawing away inside the final furlong, whilst Lady Vega (11/2, Gemma Tutty) won the Weatherbysshop Novice Stakes by 1.25 lengths.
