Perseus Way Wins Hamilton 1m4f Handicap from Northern Brave

According to the official result at Hamilton on Monday, Perseus Way claimed the Hamilton 1m4f handicap at odds of 9/2 for jockey Rowan Scott and trainer Tristan Davidson. The winner denied Northern Brave by a nose after 2m 40.95s, delivering a narrow victory in soft conditions.

The Hamilton 1m4f handicap proved a competitive affair despite the close finish, with the market favourite Unchartedterritory unable to land the spoils. Daniel Tudhope’s 7/2 chance finished third, beaten half a length total from the winner, suggesting the race suited horses settling then striking late. Florida Dreams completed the places in fourth at 12/1.

The feature card at Hamilton also saw Jordan Electrics make an impressive winning debut in the higher-class Sir Ian Good Memorial at 7/2 under Paul Mulrennan for Jim Goldie. Stormy Impact, which featured in our morning preview of this card, chased hard but had to settle for second, beaten three-quarters of a length after leading much of the contest.

Earlier in the card, By Jove Grace opened the account at 11/8 in the EBF maiden for trainers Richard and Peter Fahey, while Tanjen claimed the closing handicap at 6/4F in 1m 1.29s.
