Silent Beauty Wins Firth of Clyde Stakes Result at Ayr

According to the official Firth of Clyde Stakes result from Ayr on Saturday 19 September, Silent Beauty triumphed in the Group 3 feature. David Egan steered the 8/11 favourite to victory on ground rated heavy, with Kevin Philippart de Foy’s charge making her market supremacy count.

The winning margin was 1.75 lengths from Ruby Moon (IRE), who tracked the pace throughout but faded in the closing stages. Silent Beauty struck the decisive blow two furlongs out and kept on powerfully under pressure to score in 1m 18.15s. Newsboy’s selection obliged.

Third place fell to Angel In My Heart (IRE), beaten 2 lengths at 16/1, who ran gamely from off the pace. Dark Issue (IRE) and Etonnante (IRE) completed the frame, the latter fading from a prominent position to finish fifth beaten 6.5 lengths.

The Firth of Clyde Stakes result showcased the strength of the three-year-old filly division, with the morning preview detailing Silent Beauty’s credentials on soft ground. Heavy going proved a leveller across the card: Pellitory (12/1) landed the Ayr Gold Cup for David O’Meara and Daniel Tudhope, whilst Station X (18/1) won the Silver Cup for Bryan Smart and Oisin Orr.

Earlier, Fast Tracker at 11/4F took the Doonside Cup Listed Stakes for Ed Walker. Tyrrhenian Thunder (9/2) claimed the EBF Novice under M. P. Sheehy for trainer Adrian Keatley.
