Wexford BoyleSports Chase Result: Rightfolksplease Wins at 2/1

Rightfolksplease won the 5:05 BoyleSports Handicap Chase at Wexford at 2/1 favourite, holding off the Henry de Bromhead-trained Lady Doyanne by half a length under Kevin Healy for trainer Declan Queally.

Pos Horse Jockey SP
1st Rightfolksplease Kevin Healy 2/1F
2nd Lady Doyanne Darragh O’Keeffe 11/4
3rd Ballybrittas Ross Sugrue (7) 3/1

Six went to post over the 1m7½f trip after Kilbrin Rocco was declared a non-runner, on ground officially good, good to yielding in places. The winning time was 3m 52.30s.

The Race Story

Healy had Rightfolksplease travelling sweetly throughout and committed before the last, leading narrowly over the final fence. The favourite edged left in the closing stages but found plenty under pressure to keep Lady Doyanne at bay by half a length.

Lady Doyanne, sent off 11/4 second favourite under Darragh O’Keeffe, stayed on well up the run-in but was never quite reaching the winner. Ballybrittas ran a solid race in third at 3/1, three and a half lengths further back, for the P J Rothwell yard.

Tipster Accountability

Our Wexford preview made Lady Doyanne the verdict in this race at 3/1 in the morning — she went off shorter at 11/4 and ran right up to her market position, but second doesn’t pay. The winner was there to be found at the top of the market, and that’s now back-to-back winning favourites at Bettyville after Rockonliam obliged in the 4:35.

None of the tracked tipsters in today’s tipster review — Templegate, Paul Kealy or Oddschecker — had a bet in this race, so the ledgers are unchanged.

Looking Ahead

The Wexford card wraps up with the 5:35 fillies bumper, where the preview verdict Honey Bucks was sent off a warm order against Alicious, a first-time-out Willie Mullins runner under Patrick Mullins — the classic bumper puzzle of proven form against stable reputation.
