Free Each Way Horse Racing Tips Today: Saturday 25th July, 2026
1:53 Chester: GREY FABLE
Won this race a few years back and is back rated 4lbs lower.
Been running okay in Ireland recently despite not winning, but the return to the Roodee could spark him back to life.
This grey has form figures here that read 2-1-1-2-7-6, while is certainly looking well-handicapped based on his first and seconds here from two years ago.
I’ll take Grey Fable to have another happy ending here at Chester.
2:00 York: COMMANCHE FALLS
Okay, this old boy is 9 now and hasn’t won in 25 races – so a bit of a leap of faith needed.
But there are many plusses.
He’s dropped to a mark of 94 and having run a close second at York last August off 98, then he’s weighted to go well.
The last run would have been needed at Hamilton after a break and the 3rd from that race Jordan’s Electric has won since to frank the form.
Finally, the Michael Dods yard like this race, winning 2 of the last 7.
And jockey Connor Beasley even more – with 3 successes in the last 7 to his name.
At a price, Commanche Falls is worth an e/w interest to make a splash here.
2:35 York: PRIDE OF ARRAS
The 2024 Dante winner is back at his beloved York and I think he’s fair value in a race with many chances.
Down the field the last day in France, but that was in a G1 and behind Calandagan – plus it came after 7 1/2 months off the track.
Therefore, will be fitter this time and for whatever reason seems to be a better horse here on the Knavesmire, where he’s 2-2 having also landed the Great Voltigeur last season.
I’ll take Pride to keep his unbeaten York record intact.
2:55 Ascot: AKKADIAN THUNDER
Extremely Zain might be hard to beat here and could be a Listed or Group horse in a handicap.
But he’s little value and if you are going against him, then you might be pleased to hear only 3 of the last 23 favourites have won this race.
Therefore, with Zain taking up the bulk of the market, there is some possible value elsewhere.
We’ve last year’s winner Two Tribes, who could be over-priced and also the 2nd from 12 months ago Sword.
Plus Akkadian Thunder – the horse who was sent off the 11/4 fav for this last year.
He’s back rated 8lbs lower and despite being beaten by Zain last time, does meet that Haggas runner on 11lbs better terms.
Jamie Spencer takes over and there are not many better on the straight course at Ascot, while you feel he was a tad unlucky the last day at Donny.
Extremely Zain is the obvious call, but I’ll take a swing at Akkadian ‘Thundering’ home at a much better e/w price.
