Tattersalls July Sale Wildcards Led By Capall Rasa And Regal Ulixes

Tattersalls has added 12 wildcards to the July Sale at Park Paddocks, led by Royal Ascot performers Capall Rasa and Regal Ulixes before next week’s three-day auction in Newmarket.

The sale runs from Tuesday, July 7 to Thursday, July 9, with the latest batch taking the catalogue to 815 lots and sharpening the focus on horses with recent high-profile form.

Capall Rasa, trained by Tom Dascombe, is the headline late entry after finishing fifth in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot, beaten two lengths.

The son of Footstepsinthesand is listed as lot 504F and carries a Timeform rating of 102.

Royal Ascot Form Drives Late Interest

Andrew Balding’s Kingsclere Training Stables will offer Regal Ulixes as lot 504D after his placed effort in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes.

Tattersalls says the four-year-old Ulysses gelding is rated 106 by Timeform and is out of Group 3 winner Regal Realm.

The wildcard group also includes Super Soldier, Dapper Valley, Chan Noir, Duidin, Pisiffik Ginger, Tiberius Thunder, Tyrant GG, El Nay and Battle Of Maldon, adding depth across older horses, progressive juveniles and middle-distance profiles.

For buyers, the timing matters. Recent Ascot and Pattern-race form is being put in front of the market quickly, with Tattersalls confirming the additions in its July Sale wildcard announcement.
