Book’em Danno Day Set As Champion Sprinter Heads To Monmouth Park

Monmouth Park will stage Book’em Danno Day on Friday, July 17, with the 2025 champion sprinter set to race in the Mr. Prospector Stakes at the Oceanport track.

The New Jersey venue has confirmed a dedicated raceday for the richest NJ-bred in history, turning the eve of Haskell Day into a homecoming for one of American racing’s most recognisable sprinters.

Fans at Monmouth will be offered commemorative Book’em Danno T-shirts, with the first 2,000 in attendance eligible while supplies last. Oceanport residents will also receive free admission, with gates opening at 11am and the first race scheduled for 2pm.

Book’em Danno Returns For Mr. Prospector Stakes

According to Monmouth Park’s Book’em Danno Day announcement, the gelding is due to line up in the six-furlong Mr. Prospector Stakes, with replays of his previous races shown through the afternoon.

The event page lists Book’em Danno as a multiple Grade 1 winner, 2025 Champion Sprinter and the richest New Jersey-bred in history. It also names Paco Lopez as the rider associated with the Monmouth celebration.

The timing is deliberate. Monmouth’s Haskell weekend already carries national attention, and putting Book’em Danno into the Friday feature gives the meeting a locally rooted headline act before Saturday’s Grade 1 NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes, while keeping a major New Jersey-bred front and centre for home-state fans.
