France Galop has moved Saturday’s eight-race Chantilly fixture to Deauville because of forecast weather conditions, reshaping a key June 27 morning card headed by the Group 3 Prix du Bois.
The meeting was originally due to take place at Chantilly, but France Galop confirmed the programme will instead be staged at Deauville between 9.00am and 12.30pm. The switch keeps the races intact while removing the OH! Courses event planned at Chantilly.
The headline race is the 1,200-metre Prix du Bois – B.P.E. Lecieux, a Group 3 sprint for two-year-olds.
France Galop said Tokaido, trained by Amy Murphy, is expected to start favourite after two wins on Chantilly’s straight course, including the race used as a prep for this assignment.
Deauville Card Keeps Pattern-Race Focus
The move also places the Tattersalls Prix de Saint-Patrick and Tattersalls Prix de Bagatelle on the Deauville undercard.
Erdenali brings an unbeaten profile into the Saint-Patrick, while Narissa and Fashion City add Group 1 form to the fillies’ Listed race after running in the Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches.
France Galop’s official update says the fixture has been transferred to Deauville due to the weather conditions, with an eight-race programme still scheduled for Saturday morning. Full details are available via the France Galop announcement.
