Ryan Moore rides in Oaks and Derby Revealed

The Ryan Moore rides for this weekend’s Classics have been revealed so see who the Ballydoyle number one jockey is aboard in both races.

Ryan Moore Rides Confirmed For Epsom

It comes as no surprise that Ryan Moore has chosen to ride both of the Epsom favourites.

There was three Oaks runners he could have chose for Friday but he’s sided with impressive Cheshire Oaks winner Amelia Earhart.

She looked to improve for the step up in trip at Chester and done it fairly easily on fast ground at the start of May.

The Epsom going is no doubt going to be very different to that rattling ground at Chester so she does have a few questions to answer.

She’s probably the right favourite and it doesn’t look like a vintage renewal so Moore has every chance of winning another British Classic.

The latest Epsom Oaks betting odds have her at around a 2/1 shot.

Moore has also chosen to ride Benvenuto Cellini in the Derby – a decision which was probably tough considering stablemate Pierre Bonnard was favourite for most of the winter.

However, it’s Benvenuto Cellini that has been the talking horse of the Derby in recent weeks.

He landed the Chester Vase a few weeks ago in impressive fashion, albeit not the best of races. Bookmakers took no chances and the latest Derby betting odds have him as the clear favourite.

Both Amelia Earhart and Benvenuto Cellini have been well backed since Chester and Aidan O’Brien will be looking to complete the Oaks and Derby double for a second year in a row.

How Many Times Has Ryan Moore Won The Oaks & Derby?

Ryan Moore rides out of his skin regularly, and he’ll be hoping to win the Oaks for a sixth time this season.

He won last year aboard Minnie Hauk and he now has a chance again with Amelia Earhart.

The first Oaks won by Moore was back in 2010 on Snow Fairy and 16 years later he currently sits on five wins.

As for the Derby, he’s won that just four times. His first came in 2010 aboard Workforce and his last was City Of Troy in 2024, winning it back-to-back after riding Auguste Rodin to glory in 2023.
