Epsom Oaks Tips: Aidan O’Brien To Win, But Not With Favourite
This year’s Epsom Oaks runners may not be a classic crop, but I’m still expecting it to be an exciting renewal.
Aidan O’Brien has won the Oaks 11 times, including with last year’s winner – Minnie Hauk.
I think he can win it for a 12th time, but not with the obvious candidate.
Amelia Earhart did nothing wrong in her trial, but I think she’s worth taking on.

1-2-3 Selections & Epsom Oaks Tips
Ballydoyle have a stellar record in this race and I think that will continue, but not with the favourite.
I thought CAMEO was worth a bet at the prices as there was plenty to like about her win in the Lingfield Oaks Trial.
She wasn’t that strong in the market on the day but won in the manner of a classy filly and hit the line strongly.
Depending on how much the Epsom going changes, she won’t mind if there is some soft in the description given she won her maiden on desperate ground at the Curragh last October. But at the same time, she acts on fast ground as shown at Lingfield in May.
Going up in trip clearly improved Cameo massively so I’d put a line through any of those defeats over 7f or a mile last season.
She handled Lingfield well so Epsom should be up her street too. Her outsider stablemates should set a strong gallop and that can play into her hands with another step up in trip expected to suit.
Has a tendency to come out of the gates slowly so I’m hoping O’Brien has sharpened her stalls work for this assignment.

Amelia Earhart is probably the right favourite considering she won the same Cheshire Oaks as Minnie Hauk did in 2025 before capturing Epsom glory.
However, I still want to take her on.
She can chase home her stablemate as I do think she’ll be staying on late. But there was something about that Chester performance that suggested to me that she may even want further than this.
And Legacy Link can also make the places. Her gutsy Musidora win was likeable and she can continue on an upwards curve stepping up in trip.
She should stay just fine and will be fitter this time. Gosden yard have a good record in the race and it’s hard to see her out of the front three.
