- Mullins enters first Arc de Triomphe horse
- Eight entries for Aidan O’Brien
- Seven for Japan who went close enough last year
The Prix de Arc de Triomphe entries have been revealed and Willie Mullins makes an eye-catching entry meanwhile Aidan O’Brien puts forward eight.
Willie Mullins Horse Among Early Arc De Triomphe Entries
The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is a race that Willie Mullins has never won and he’s finally made his first entry.
It’s the richest race in Europe and Mullins looks to have his challenger for the famous French Group 1.
Seven-year-old Le Destrier is the sole entry for the Closutton maestro and it looks like the former Polish-trained horse will be targeted towards the race.
He made his stable debut for Mullins at Leopardstown last week and came third behind short-priced favourite Scandinavia
It was an encouraging introduction to Irish racing and we could be seeing something special brewing here.
Mullins has won the Grand National and a Cheltenham Gold Cup already in 2026, so could he win the continent’s most valuable flat race too?

It’s five in a row now for the dual Group 1 winner in the €70,000 Saval Beg Levmoss Stakes.
Closer than expected (!) but some pretty fast late splits inside in the final half mile.

Arc De Triomphe Entries See Aidan O’Brien Enter EIGHT
Aidan O’Brien has won just two Arc de Triomphe’s during his illustrious training career and he’s entered eight horses in the 2026 renewal.
He first won it with Dylan Thomas in 2007 and would have to wait nine years to win again with Found in 2016.
And he got ever so close in 2025 when star filly Minnie Hauk came second by just a head to Daryz.
