Breeders’ Cup Classic Hero Forever Young Given Royal Ascot Entry

Last season’s Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Forever Young has been entered in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot after Group 1 entries were revealed.

Classy Japanese horse Forever Young could make the trip to Royal Ascot in June as he was given an entry in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes.

He has raced on the dirt for all of his career thus far and two of his biggest wins have came in the last six months.

After finishing third in the 2024 renewal of the Breeders’ Cup Classic, Forever Young went two places better last November to win the $7million race.

He then won the Saudi Cup for a second year in a row at Riyadh in February before just coming up short in the Dubai World Cup at Meydan a month later.

Trainer Yoshito Yahagi said in an interview: “I’ve been thinking – and saying in public – that I should send Forever Young to a turf race in the future. His owner Susumu Fujita shares this feeling and the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes is one of the turf-race options I should consider.

It’s very prestigious for a trainer to have a runner at Royal Ascot, while I think it’s a very attractive idea to send Forever Young for the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, although he has had an easy time since he returned from the Middle East.

Fellow Japanese horses Shin Emperor and T O Password were also given Prince Of Wales’s entries.

How Much Prize Money Has Forever Young Won?

It’s fair to say that Forever Young is one of the greatest dirt horses of this generation and it would be amazing to see if he could transfer that form to the turf at Royal Ascot.

The latest World’s Best Racehorse Rankings rated him in third, and if he won at Royal Ascot, he may climb that list next time around.

Forever Young has won £24,746,998 in prize money during his 14-race career. He’s only lost four times and has NEVER finished outside of the top three.
