SIX Races Live On ITV Racing This Weekend: Saturday 25th April 2026
The ITV Racing cameras head to Sandown, Leicester and Hadyock this Saturday.
Sandown provides the bulk of the action with four races including the bet365 Gold Cup and also Jonbon will be in action as he looks to regain his Celebration Chase crown.
The other two races come from Leicester and Haydock for the feature race on their cards.

Saturday ITV Racing Trixie Tips – Best Bets At Sandown & Leicester
It’s a busy day of action for ITV Racing this Saturday so see my selections from Sandown and Leicester. I’ll be playing a WIN Trixie and level-stake singles.
2:02 Leicester – King Richard III Cup (Class 2) – STRIKE RED
STRIKE RED ran very well in this race last year on his seasonal reappearance and I think he’s dangerously well-in this time around, rated 12lbs lower.
And with solid young jockey Warren Fentiman claiming 3lbs he’s actually running off a 15lb lower mark.
He was only beaten a length when finishing third at Newcastle on his first run of the season and with that spin under his belt I think he can win this.
It’s around 18 months since his last win but I think he can take full advantage of his lowest mark in five years.
He’s finished second on both of his only two starts at Leicester and there’s a strong chance he goes one better here.
2:20 Sandown – Oasksey Chase (Grade 2) – DOYEN QUEST
DOYEN QUEST has knocked on the door at Grade 2 level numerous times this season, running well behind Salver at Windsor and at this track.
He found the Grade 1 Mildmay at Aintree slightly too hot last time out and dropping back a few furlongs should be fine.
Harry and Dan Skelton are in smashing form as always and this pot of £45k+ looks like low-hanging fruit in their quest for £5million in prize money won this season.
He’s a Graded-winning chaser waiting to happen and I think he’ll take all the beating here. His only other previous visit to Sandown was a fair second behind Salver last December and a return to good ground can aid his cause.
Quick ground is the key to this horse and I’m hoping he can deliver the goods.
3:30 Sandown – bet365 Gold Cup (Class 1) – MONTREGARD
I fancied MONTREGARD to run a big race in last weekend’s Scottish National so I was disappointed when he was a non-runner.
Connections clearly think this will suit more and I think JP McManus might be able to land his first bet365 Gold Cup.
Tom Lacey’s runner has has been performing well this season over 3m and I think a first go over this trip should bring out even more improvement.
A 4lb rise for his Ascot win last time out doesn’t look excessive and he will relish this test en route to a potential spin in the 2027 Grand National next season.
The bet365 Gold Cup trends also say that he has a strong chance and he ticks plenty of boxes. 7-y-o horses do well in this race and so do those with a low weight so he’s got plenty going for him.
