Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇
1:17 Bangor: SENATOR (NAP)
It’s interesting that Gavin Sheehan comes to Bangor today – instead of riding Git Maker in the Scottish National, but there might be a reason.
Regardless, this Jamie Snowden runner stands out after a staying-on win at Market Rasen in February.
Hasn’t been out since but Jamie reports the horse in good order and improving.
He gets the handy 4lb weight-for-age allowance here too so gets 8lbs off the other two main players – Alsakib and Knock Off Soxs.
The yard are in good order too and so I’ll take Senator to govern here.
Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips🏇
1:37 Thirsk: BAI TONG (NB)
Unraced Karl Burke 2yold so a lot of unknowns here.
But what we do know is the Burke team like this race – they’ve won the last two renewals.
They’ve been amongst the winners recently too and also boast a decent 31% SR with their juveniles here at Thirsk.
2:27 Bangor: RECKLESS SPENDING
Park Princess, who was down the field in the Albert Bartlett last time, is noted here and on the revised ratings she comes out on top (1lb).
But all four of her wins have come against her own sex, so does have a small bit to prove.
So the Hendo horse is slightly preferred.
Yes, he’s also on a recovery mission after fading into 7th (of 9) last time – but that was in a Grade 2 Hurdle at Haydock and should find this easier.
Prior to that he was an easy winner at Kempton back in February and a repeat of that run should be good enough to see Reckless Spending land the money.
4:15 Ayr: APACHE TRIBE
Easy winner here at Ayr back in February for the Noel C Kelly yard – going in by 13 lengths.
Has since switched to the Gordon Elliott team and been freshened up with 2 months off.
Danny Gilligan comes over for the ride (also rides Our Power in the Scottish National) and with that proven course experience will be hard to beat.
Today’s Each-Way Horse Racing Betting Tips🏇
1:10 Ayr: TRAPRAIN LAW
Pulled up in this race last year but was 2nd back in 2024 and is back rated 4lbs lower.
Heads here off the back of a decent 3rd at Musselburgh at the end of January and has been kept fresh for this since.
Is also the only CD winner in the field.
2:20 Ayr: OOH BETTY
Ran well for a long way in the County Hurdle last time at the Cheltenham Festival.
Is down a pound for that run and has form in this race – when a fast-finishing 3rd 12 months ago.
Is back rated a pound lower and only has 10-6 to carry this time (had 11st last year).
While does seem to run well in April with form figures that read 2-2-3 in this month.
3:35 Ayr: GIT MAKER
The Jamie Snowden yard are having a top season with 84 wins so far.
Was a decent 3rd in the Midlands National last time and is better off with the winner (Issac Des Obeaux) this time.
The slight drop back in trip will suit and he was third in this race back in 2024 – but is now 4lbs lower.
Stays, is well handicapped and is from a yard in good order.
“Last season was tough compared with previous campaigns for Git Maker but he has bounced back well this term and was a fine 3rd in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter last time out on his favoured soft ground. Off the same mark here, it looks like he will have his preferred conditions again, so he should run a big race.” Jamie Snowden
3:10 Newbury: SHOUT
Ran 9th in the Lincoln last time so should be better for that run.
Is 5lbs better off with the winner that day Urban Lion too and has run well here at Newbury in the past too.
But the big plus is the return of Oisin Murphy to the saddle – his form on the horse reads 1-1-4.
This Crisford horse looks to have a big ‘shout’.
Worth Knowing Today 🤔
🏇1:37 Thirsk: Trainer Karl Burke has won the last two runnings – Bai Tong
🏇3:35 Ayr (Scottish National) – The last outright winning favourite was in 1999
🏇2:35 Newbury: Al Aasy won this race in 2021
🏇3:45 Newbury: Trainer William Haggas has won 2 of the last 5
Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️
🏇1:45 AYR: KDEAUX SAINT FRAY (440 miles), Anthony Honeyball
🏇2:20 AYR: OOH BETTY (440 miles), Ben Clarke
🏇2:55 AYR: GAME COLOURS (440 miles), Ben Clarke
Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌
🏇5:45 Nottingham: PAPA DON’T PREACH
Fairly consistent gelding but the fact remains his best form has been on the AW – where all four career wins have come.
He’s had 7 silvers on the grass but is still 0-28 on the green stuff.
Plus is also only 1-25 in his recent runs too – so, for me, at the prices it’s hard to say a horse with this wins-to-runs ratio is any value
Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

“After creditable placed efforts in his first two runs over hurdles, Senator won nicely last time out. He is improving with racing and has every chance of defying the penalty, especially with the useful 4yo wfa allowance in his favour.” JAMIE SNOWDEN

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?
The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?
In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.
The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.
You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?
It’s similar to a NAP – but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.
In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.
How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?
A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing – and for good reason.
It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet.
The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:
- 6 Doubles
- 4 Trebles
- 4 Singles
- 1 Four-Fold
That’s where the 15 comes from.
A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total – 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.
If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.
How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?
Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.
So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.
If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.
How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?
To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.
Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.
Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.
Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.
That’s it – you’re in.
Will There Be Any Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Tomorrow?
