Barton Snow Expected To Remain In Hunter Chases Next Season, Despite Grand National Betting Quotes

The double Aintree and Cheltenham Foxhunter winner BARTON SNOW is expected to remain in this sphere next season – as he’ll bid to defend his big Festival crowns.

Barton Snow To Defend Foxhunter Titles Next Season, Despite Grand National Talk

The Joe O’Shea-trained BARTON SNOW was pretty much unknown horse a few months ago.

But having won both the Cheltenham and Aintree Foxhunter races with ease, he’s now a household name for jump racing fans in the UK and Ireland.

Partnered in both races by Henry Crow (25), Barton Snow was well-backed each time and was super-impressive in his most recent success over the National-fences at the Grand National Meeting in April.

Winning by an eased-down 7-lengths as the 7/4 favourite.

And with that experience over the unique Aintree fences, this led some bookies to price him up at 66/1 (as low as 33/1) for the 2027 Grand National.

However, the dreams of winning the biggest prize in jump racing have since been dashed – with his trainer J J O’Shea saying Barton Snow will NOT be running under rules next season.

“He has the speed for a Champion Hurdle, but he will definitely be back to defend his crowns. He will not be running under rules.” Said J J O’Shea, who trains in Nantwich, Cheshire

While some layers had even priced him up in the 2027 Cheltenham Gold Cup market at 100/1.

Barton Snow 2/1 To Win The Cheltenham Foxhunters’ Chase in 2027

So, with another season running in Hunter Chases the likely agenda, Barton Snow has been installed as the clear 2/1 favourite to win the Cheltenham Foxhunters’ again.

But if getting to the race next season on Friday 19th March 2027 – you feel those odds will be a lot shorter in the day after the way he’s been winning this season.

He could easily be one of the big Cheltenham Festival 2027 bankers.

With Its On The Line next best in the betting at 6/1 – a horse that’s now taken silver in that Cheltenham race a remarkable FOUR times.
