Precise Heads 1000 Guineas Betting Odds Market For Aiden O’Brien

Since losing on debut at Fairyhouse, Aiden O’Brien’s PRECISE has won all four starts and looks the perfect filly to be heading into this season with.

She put that narrow defeat at Fairyhouse behind her when winning a Cork maiden last August. She would turn up at Goodwood 10 days later and win a Group 3.

Things continued to get better as Precise would win the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh.

And the daughter of Starspangledbanner won the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket to end her season.

She was due to go to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf at Del Mar, but was scratched on the morning of the race due to coughing.

Given her course and distance victory at the end of last season, she is deservedly favourite for the 1000 Guineas.

You can watch the 1000 Guineas on Sunday 3rd May live on the ITV Racing Schedule.

Aiden O’Brien Looking For Eighth 1000 Guineas Win

The 1000 Guineas has been kind to O’Brien over the years, with seven wins in the second Classic of the season.

But similarly to the 2000 Guineas, he’s on abit of a drought.

The last 1000 Guineas that O’Brien won was in 2021 with Mother Earth – which was his third in a row at that point.

2026 looks like a great opportunity for the Irish trainer to regain the 1000 Guineas as he’s expected to have a strong hand.

With Precise the curent favourite, her two stablemates Diamond Necklace and True Love also have a great chance.

It’s not yet known if O’Brien will send all three, but whichever filly does go, they will probably be sent off favourite.

Diamond Necklace is yet to taste defeat and was last seen winning the Marcel Boussac at Longchamp on Arc weekend.

As for True Love, she was a Group 1 winner in the Cheveley Park Stakes but ended last season with defeat at Del Mar.

However, her recent reappearance run was very encouraging as she landed Group 3 honours on her seasonal return.
