Lucky 15 Tips On Saturday 28th March – Selections From Doncaster & Kempton
I’ve got two selections from Doncaster and two from Kempton this Saturday afternoon and I’ll be playing an each-way Lucky 15.
1:50pm Doncaster – Cammidge Trophy Stakes (Listed) (Class 1, 6f): ANNAF 10/1
This 6f sprint is hugely interesting in the second race at Doncaster and the ultra-versatile ANNAF appeals at an attractive price.
What I like about Annaf is that he’s got fitness on his side after having a pipe opener in a Group 2 at Riyadh last month, so he should be primed and ready for this.
There will likely be a strong pace set by Art Power and as they bunch up for the finish it could play into Annaf’s hands from the rear of the field.
Mick Appleby’s horse also ran well on his only other visit to Doncaster when he won the Portland Handicap back in 2023. Has to be resepcted.
2:08pm Kempton – Queen’s Prize Handicap (Class 2, 2m): SHERADANN 25/1
This is a competitive heat for the Stayers’ at Kempton and I’ve been following the 2m races at the track throughout the winter and one I like the look of is SHERADANN.
Ian Williams’ charge won here off a rating of 89 back in October and after a couple of poor runs he’s back on that mark.
Whilst he can be inconsistent, Kempton usually brings out the best of him and I’ll take a chance as I think he at least can at least place.
3:13pm Kempton – Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes (Listed) (Class 1, 1m): ALL MOONSHINE 22/1
Trappy race here but I think the favourite Survie is worth taking on and I’m going to do it with ALL MOONSHINE.
Andrew Balding’s horses are in good nick and I feel like All Moonshine is one of his typical lightly-raced improvers.
She has won three out of her four starts so far, progressing with every run since finishing a close third on debut. The latest of her wins came over course and distance in February and I liked the way she quickened when pressured in the home straight.
If she races prominent here, she could use those same tactics again and put the race to bed in the straight. She’ll need to improve again but I wouldn’t rule it out and she’s too much of a big price to ignore.
3:32pm Doncaster – Lincoln Handicap (Class 2, 1m): ROGUE DIPLOMAT 8/1
ROGUE DIPLOMAT fits into the key weight Lincoln Handicap trends and ought to have a solid chance for James Owen, who continues to bang in winners in both codes.
This four-year-old is a dual-Doncaster winner, ending last season with two wins over 7f here – completing a four-timer. The track clearly suits and this race looks tailor made for him as he looks for a fifth win in a row.
Rogue Diplomat has won five times from 10 career starts and Saturday’s jockey Harry Davies has been in the saddle for ALL of those wins.
That completes are ITV Racing each-way Lucky 15 Tips for Saturday.
