Check out the full list of horse racing fixtures this week in the UK and Ireland from Monday 16th March to Sunday 22nd with a relatively quiet slate of action after the recent Cheltenham Festival.
UK & Irish Horse Racing Fixtures This Week
There is a total of 30 horse racing fixtures across the UK and Ireland this week from Monday 16th March to Sunday 22nd.
Horse Racing Meetings – Monday 16th March 2026
The start of the week sees a quiet day of racing in the UK with no meetings in Ireland.
Ffos Las hosts a six-race card with the feature class 3 “Welsh Gold Cup” headlining the meeting. Plumpton has a seven-race card in the only other jumps meeting of the day.
Wolverhampton (AW) is the evening fixture where Beauzon will bid for an EIGHTH win in a row for Ian Williams.

Horse Racing Meetings – Tuesday 17th March 2026 (St Patrick’s Day)
It’s slightly busier on Tuesday and it wouldn’t be St Patrick’s Day without some racing in Ireland.
Down Royal will host an eight-race card where 2025 Aintree Grand National hero Nick Rockett takes on four rivals including Gerri Colombe in the Bluegrass Racehorse Cube Chase. Wexford is the other meeting in Ireland with seven races on St Patrick’s Day.
After eight Willie Mullins Cheltenham winners last week, there’s no doubt he’ll have a host of chances at both tracks.
Meanwhile in the UK, jumps action comes from Exeter (seven races) and Wetherby (six races). Wolverhampton race for a second night in a row with a nine-race bonanza.
Horse Racing Fixtures on 17/03/26

Horse Racing Meetings – Wednesday 18th March 2026
Wednesday hosts three meetings with the jumps action coming from Huntingdon where Nicky Henderson saddles a potentially smart filly, St Marys Wantage in the bumper. Hereford completes the daytime cards.
As for the evening, we’re treated to the weekly Wednesday night fixture at Kempton.
The feature class 2 handicap on the card sees Mount Athos bid for a hat-trick of wins in the race. However he’ll take on former Ballydoyle inmate Serengeti in the process, who makes a stable debut for James Ferguson after three runs for Dylan Cunha.
Horse Racing Fixtures on 18/03/26
- Hereford: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
- Huntingdon: 2:15pm – 5:15pm
- Kempton (AW): 4:55pm – 8:30pm
Horse Racing Meetings – Thursday 19th March 2026
Racing on Thursday will take place in both the UK and Ireland.
Cork hosts the sole meeting across the water with an interesting looking couple of maiden hurdles to get stuck into.
Meanwhile over in the UK, Ludlow and Sedgefield make up the day-time viewing, both with six races.
Newcastle will have their first meeting of the week with seven races including a class 2 handicap breaking up the card in what looks a competitive heat.
Horse Racing Fixtures on 19/03/26
- Cork (IRE): 2:30pm – 5:35pm
- Ludlow: 2:20pm – 4:50pm
- Sedgefield: 2:40pm – 5:10pm
- Newcastle (AW): 5:25pm – 8:30pm
Horse Racing Meetings – Friday 20th March 2026
One week out from the Cheltenham Gold Cup doesn’t quite see the same kind of quality, but there’s still some decent racing.
Newbury start their two-day meeting with seven races including four class 3s. Up in Scotland, Musselburgh have three Series Final handicaps which will no doubt attract plenty of northern runners.
Lingfield host an AW meeting in the day, whilst the evening sees Wolverhampton and Dundalk (IRE) round off Friday night with 15 races between them.
Horse Racing Fixtures on 20/03/26
- Newbury: 2:00pm – 5:16pm
- Lingfield (AW): 2:12pm – 5:25pm
- Musselburgh: 2:20pm – 5:00pm
- Dundalk (AW, IRE): 4:37pm – 8:15pm
- Wolverhampton (AW): 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Horse Racing Meetings – Saturday 21st March 2026
With no official ‘Premier Meeting’ on Saturday, there’s no need to worry as the ITV Racing schedule still sees their cameras head to two racetracks in the day.
Newbury has the second day of their meeting where the grade two Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle is the feature race, combined with a bunch of solid handicaps and a bumper.
Kelso also attracts the ITV cameras with a listed Mares’ Hurdle over 3miles opening a hugely competitive card. Bangor-On-Dee is the only other jumps meeting on the day in the UK.
Ireland has just one fixture on Saturday with racing coming live from Navan.
Racing fans are also treated to a flat meeting in the day from Southwell whilst the evening brings more all weather action, this time from Newcastle.
Horse Racing Fixtures on 21/03/26
