Gaelic Warrior Cheltenham Gold Cup Betting Odds 2027: Willie Mullins Chaser Favourite For Repeat Win

The 8yold Gaelic Warrior turned the 2026 Cheltenham Gold Cup into a procession and the bookies are taking no chances on a repeat success next season.

They’ve a making the Rich Ricci-owned chaser the 4/1 favourite in the 2027 Cheltenham Gold Cup betting odds market – and six points ahead of Jango Baie, who was runner-up in 2026.

With the 2025 Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin, who was a fine third, given odds of 25/1 in 2027 to win back his crown.

Gaelic Warrior powered home to an easy 8-length win to land the ITV Racing feature race on the final day of the 2026 Cheltenham Festival. With jockey Paul Townend doing the steering.

The win provided Townend with his fifth Gold Cup success and the Irish jockey is now the winning-most rider in the history of the race.

Townend previously won the race twice on Galopin Des Champs and Al Boum Photo. So has now taken the historic race five times in the last eight runnings.

Gaelic Warrior’s 2026 Gold Cup win also provided trainer Willie Mullins with a fifth victory in the big Cheltenham Festival race.

Plus the win gave owner Rich Ricci a famous double at the meeting. After his Lossiemouth had won the Champion Hurdle three days earlier.

With owner Dorothy Paget the last to win both races. When she won the 1940 Gold Cup (Roman Hackle) and Champion Hurdle (Solford).

Gaelic Warrior also became the fourth winning favourite since 2022 when he scooped the Cheltenham Gold Cup prize money in 2026.
