Check out our selections for Imperial Cup day at Sandown. A £1 Eachway Lucky 15 will cost £30 and returns a huge £4,064 if they all win!

A lucky 15 is a multi-bet, made up of four singles, 6 doubles, four trebles and a four fold accumulator. It is a popular wager as you get a return for your money even if only one selection wins, but you also have that extra reward if all of your picks win.

Saturday Selections:

Unknown Entity – 1:50 – 6/1

Dan Skelton is set for a big week with many Cheltenham Festival market leaders, but he can land a nice prize in the build up with Unknown Entity. He was second at Wincanton when last seen, pushing a lovely horse from the Warren Greatrex all the way to the line. The latter has won since, boosting the form and with novice experience behind horses such as Koktail Brut and Sixandahalf, he has a wealth of experience on his CV. Whilst it is a very competitive race, he is worthy of being towards the top of the betting.

Rubber Ball – 2:27 – 9/1

Rubber Ball bounced back to form in style at Newbury last weekend and holds a strong chance in a typically competitive renewal of the Imperial Cup. There was a lot of market support that day which saw his price shorten to 15/8 from 9/1 indicating plenty of people knew he is in good form. If a quick turn-around doesn’t cause an issue, he holds particularly pleasing claims and when looking back through his form, it is hard to not be impressed by his novice victory last year finishing ahead of Champion Hurdle contender Tutti Quanti. Neil King’s gelding seems suited by the minimum trip and the extra stamina he has in reserve may stand him in good stead here.

Burds Of A Feather – 3:00 – 4/1

A mid-card bumper isn’t normally of much interest, but Burds Of A Feather was hugely impressive at Warwick when last seen and a re-production of that effort would see him go very close. I’m always concerened when a horses form has more letters than numbers, but he seems to have put his point exploits behind him and with no obstacles to jump it adds an extra bit of re-assurance. Max Comley is a young trainer to keep onside and he may have a very nice one on his hands…

Tune In A Box – 3:35 – 7/1

Tom Lacey’s horses were struggling in the early stages of the year, but as a result many who ran have dropped in the handicap. Tune In A Box is down to a rating of 117, after a disappointing season, but is well handicapped on old form. He won a very nice pot at Punchestown back in 2024 and has been competitive in races off ratings in the 120s, indicating he is well treated on old form. A small leap of faith is required but he indicated a return to form could be innocent when third at Newbury last month. The yard form improving is a positive sign.
