Horse Racing Lucky 15 Tips – Today’s ‘Muggy’ Favourites Acca 📝😉

  • 1:45 Haydock: RUBY ISLAND (NAP)
  • 1:53 Lingfield: PROFIT STREET (NB)
  • 1:58 Thurles: KARAMOJA
  • 6:00 Newcastle: BILLECART

Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

1:45 Haydock: RUBY ISLAND (NAP)

Just the two runners here and after the Greenall/Guerriero camp have let us down twice this week (ha, you know what will happen!!) – I’m siding with the Nicky Richards runner Ruby Island to sparkle here.

Joking aside, there is nothing much between this pair on the ratings and on these terms – so the difference could be in the jumping.

For me, Gamesters Guy is not the most fluent in his races and back over 2m4f this will put more focus on his jumping.

Whereas Ruby Island tends to be more assured at her fences and heads here off the back of a fair third in a Mares Listed Chase at Huntingdon.

The Richards yard are also in good order, with 4 wins from their last 11 sent to post and Danny McMenamin is riding well this week, with a Newcastle double on Tuesday.

I’ll take ‘girl power’ and ‘jumping’ to win the day in this match.

Horse Racing NB Tip 🏇

1:53 Lingfield: PROFIT STREET (NB)

This James Owen-trained 5yold has been in top form recently, with two wins from his last three.

The last came only five days again here at Lingers over this trip and despite having a 5lb penalty here still looks well treated.

He went in by four lengths that day and you feel a repeat of that can see more ‘profit’ for street today.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

1:58 Thurles: KARAMOJA

Has been very disappointing in her two runs over fences to date, but is given one more chance in a very poor race.

This Willie Mullins runner was a useful hurdler rated 133 at her peak and was a fine 7th in the Mares Novices’ Hurdle last season at the Cheltenham Festival.

Paul Townend keeps the faith too and with 55 days to get over that last run and the Mullins team in much better form now can get off the mark over fences at the third try.

6:00 Newcastle: BILLECART

Wuood makes the long trip up from Newmarket for William Haggas, but it might be a wasted trip.

The Karl Burke runner Billecart sets a fair standard on what his 4th to Distant Storm at HQ last summer.

That was a hot maiden that Constitution River was also runner-up in – with Distant Storm going on to win a G3 and run third in the G1 Dewhurst.

Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇

3:40 Wincanton: IGNORE THE DOOR

Bataillon is noted but the slightly better value looks to be with this  Harry Derham runner.

This 6yold has only had four career runs but has shown glimmers of form to suggest he can be competitive in a race like this.

Is down 2lns from a recent run at Kempton, but that was his first try over fences and this a slightly easier race.

But the most interesting factor is the cracking SR of the Derham yard with their chasers at Wincanton.

Boasting a 57% return (4-7) – therefore, with those stats it’s hard to ‘ignore’ the door.

4:38 Thurles: JISCO DU BREM

6 year-olds have had a good record in this race – winning the last four.

But so had horses ridden by claiming jockeys, so JISCO DU BREM ticks this stat with Philip Donovan riding to claim 3lbs.

This 7yold has struggled a bit since winning a NH Flat race back in June at Kilbeggan – but is into a handicap for the first time today, which will help.

However, it’s the form of the Jonathan Sweeney yard that also catches the eye – they are 2-2 with their recent runners at the moment.

And also boast a 36% SR (4-11) with their hurdlers here at Thurles.

5:30 Newcastle: MARRA DONNA

This Ollie Sangster is another that’s made the 295 mile trip up from Newmarket today and in a race that lacks depth it will be a shock if he’s not in the mix at worst.

Heads here 0-5, but was only beaten 3/4 of a length the last day at Southwell.

Up a pound for that but has Mason Patel riding today to claim 5lbs – so is 4lbs better off really.

Oh, and the Sangster team also boast a 31% SR with their overall runners at Newcastle.

7:30 Newcastle: CASTAN

The final pick today looks very interesting – as the Bryan Smart team have won the last two runnings of this race.

With one of those coming in 2024 with this horse Castan.

He’s back today rated a pound lower, but did have a 3lb claimer riding when he took this two years back.

But heads here off a fine second over CD last month and Paul Mulrennan, who has won four times on the horse is back in the saddle.

The final plus is the draw – ALL of the last 7 winners of this race came from gates 2-4 and Castan has been handed the 3 berth!

Worth Knowing Today 🤔

🏇3:40 Wincanton: Trainer Harry Derham has a stonking 57% (4-7) SR with his chasers at the track
🏇Trainer Willie Mullins heads into today with a 39% SR (12-31) in the last 14 days
🏇4:38 Thurles – 6 year-olds have won the last 4….plus 4 of the last 5 winners were ridden by a jockey claiming
🏇7:30 Newcastle: The last 7 winners all drawn between stalls 2-4
🏇7:30 Newcastle: Trainer Bryan Smart has won the last 2, including with Castan in 2024

Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️

🏇5:30 Newcastle: MARRA DONNA (Ollie Sangster), 295 miles
🏇6:00 Newcastle: WUOOD (William Haggas), 295 miles
🏇6:30 Newcastle: TALIS EVOLVERE (Richard Hannon), 295 miles

Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌

🏇5:08 Lingfield: GALAXY WONDER

Trappy little race with only five runners so there are cases for them all.

But the Tony Carroll yard continue to be in only average form at the moment (2-48) and so their two runners here – Masqool and Galaxy Wonder – have this to overcome.

Of the pair the last-named has been a beaten jolly the last three times, having won here back on Boxing Day.

That win saw him go up in the rating and is now 6lbs higher, a mark he’s struggled to win off since.

He heads here with just 2 wins from 18 starts, but these came off ratings of 53 – 6lbs lower than today.

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

Horses Running Today That WON The Same Race Last Year (UK) 🏇👀

🏇6:30 Newcastle: NIKOVO  – Won this 12 months ago and is back just 1lb higher.

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

  • 6 Doubles
  • 4 Trebles
  • 4 Singles
  • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

That’s it — you’re in.

Will There Be Any Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Tomorrow?

Yes — simply bookmark this page and we’ll update it with a fresh set of Lucky 15 horse racing tips tomorrow.

You can also check the ITV Racing schedule to see when the free-to-air channel is next showing live racing.
