Runaway William Hill Hurdle Winner Tutti Quanti Supplemented For Champion Hurdle

Tutti Quanti bolted up in the William Hill Hurdle at Newbury last month to record back-to-back Grade 3 handicap wins and he has now been supplemented for the Champion Hurdle.

2025 Supreme 6th Tutti Quanti Supplemented For Champion Hurdle

Paul Nicholls has supplemented dual-Newbury winner Tutti Quanti for the Champion Hurdle in what looks to be a wide open field for the opening day feature.

There is no denying that we have seen stronger renewals of the Champion Hurdle in recent years and with questions potentially being asked of those at the top of the market, you can see why he’s taking his chance.

Nicholls’ charge won Gerry Feilden Hurdle at Newbury back in November and an 8lbs rise was not enough to stop him bolting up last month in another valuable handicap at the Berkshire venue.

Dan Skelton is responsible for current favourite The New Lion and Gordon Elliott is sending over star mare Brighterdaysahead but it’s possible Tutti Quanti could run into the places.

This isn’t the first time that this six-year-old will run at the Cheltenham Festival either, he ran in last year’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. He outran his huge odds of 125/1 that day when finishing sixth, albeit beaten 25 lengths by Arkle Novices’s Chase hopeful Kopek Des Bordes.

Has Paul Nicholls Ever Won The Champion Hurdle?

Yes, Nicholls has won the Champion Hurdle, but only once. He won the race with Rock On Ruby in 2012, who similarly to Tutti Quanti won the same Newbury handicap in November.

Could he be a horse to threaten one of the hot Cheltenham Festival favourites in The New Lion?

Champion Hurdle Betting Odds

  • The New Lion 2/1
  • Brighterdaysahead 11/4
  • Lossiemouth 7/2
  • Golden Ace 13/2
  • Poniros 10/1
  • Anzadam 20/1
  • Alexei 25/1
  • Tutti Quanti 25/1
