Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips for Today: Monday 2nd March 2026 🗓️

Today’s Lucky 15 selections come from Leopardstown and Southwell.

You’ll find FOUR picks, including a NAP and NB, combined into a 10/1 ‘muggy favourites’ acca for Monday 😉.

Andy’s recent record speaks for itself: 402 winning best bets from his last 838 Lucky 15 selections.

Horse Racing Lucky 15 Tips – Today’s ‘Muggy’ Favourites Acca 📝😉

  • 2:07 Kempton: CHARLES DARNEY
  • 2:15 Southwell: SEA THRIFT (NB)
  • 2:45 Southwell: SOLAR SYSTEM (NAP)
  • 3:25 Leopardstown: EL FABIOLO

📈 See Andy Newton’s horse racing NAP results for 2026 below ⬇️

Horse Racing NAP Of The Day Tip 🥇

2:45 Southwell: SOLAR SYSTEM (NAP)

This Hobbs/White runner has been down the field in recent runs over hurdles, but these have been in better races than today.

He makes his chase debut today eased in grade from last time and is back into Class 4 level that he’s got a good record in.

His last runs in this grade (hurdles) read 1-2-1-1 and will also have the benefit of Callum Pritchard’s 3lb claim today.

Yes, jumping has to be taken on trust but is sure to have been well-schooled for this.

So Solar System gets the nod to shine on his first try over fences.

Horse Racing NB Tip 🏇

2:15 Southwell: SEA THRIFT (NB)

CD winner Flash In The Park is noted being only 2lbs higher than when winning here last.

But Sea Thrift could have it more her own way up front and has done well in her three starts over fences – including a win at Plumpton at the end of January.

Robbie David takes off a handy 7lbs again too and with only two to beat looks the safest option.

Other Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips Today🏇

2:07 Kempton: CHARLES DARNEY

Fifth on debut at Lingfield over 7f and took a step forward to be 3rd at Southwell over 1m next time.

Is up to 1m4f here, so some unknowns over the trip, but breeding suggests he’ll be fine over the longer distance.

Being aged 3, also gets plenty of weight from his main rival John Galt (22lbs) and the James Owen yard are in fair form with a 24% SR heading into today.

3:25 Leopardstown: EL FABIOLO

This looks a good chance for this Willie Mullins-trained 2023 Arkle winner to get back to winning ways – having last been seen running 5th in the Irish Champion Hurdle.

Before that won well in calmer waters at Punchestown on New Year’s Eve and this return to a longer trip will suit.

He’s rated 4lbs higher than Maxxum but also gets a handy 5lbs off the Elliott runner too.

Bonus Each-Way Betting Tips🏇

3:37 Kempton: SAXON PRINCE

The Clive Cox runners are in fine form at the moment – with all of their last three winning.

They’ve got just the one runner today, who looks interesting upped in trip – having run okay over 6f the last day.

Is up to 7f this time, dropped 2lbs and also has Jack Nicholls taking off another 5lbs.

4:25 Leopardstown: AN PEANN DEARG

Course winner An Peann Dearg was 7th (of 14) at the DRF last month but is down 2lbs here and interesting back up in trip.

He’s only got 10-2 to carry here too and we know he likes it here at Leopardstown, with both career wins coming here.

The Paul Nolan team also boast a 23% SR with their chasers at this track, so in a very open race is chanced to bounce back to form.

Of the rest, last year’s winner Monbeg Park is noted too off only a 2lbs higher mark.

4:45 Southwell: THIS SWAY

Yet to score from seven starts but ran in a better race the last day at Kempton and is 4lbs lower here.

Connections have also booked jockey Tom Broughton to take off another 5lbs – meaning he’s 9lbs lower than his last outing.

Broughton also does well here at the track riding over hurdles, with a 43% SR and so I’d not be shocked to see a step forward here.

Worth Knowing Today 🤔

🏇Trainer Willie Mullins heads into today with an overall 50% SR in the last 14 days
🏇Jockey Patrick Mullins has a 44% SR (14-32) riding in NH Flat races at Leopardstown – 5:30, Mento
🏇Jockey Tom Broughton has a 43% SR (6-14) riding over hurdles at Southwell – 4:45, This Sway

Today’s Longest Travellers 🗺️

🏇3:15pm Southwell: CAMINO ROCIO (232 miles), E M Rees

Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY ⛔🏇❌

🏇6:00 Wolverhampton: FRANCESI

Won well the last day at Newcastle when ending the winning run of Aisling Oscar – but as a result has been hiked up 6lbs.

Yes, is back in grade here and that will help, but that comes at a price with 9st 9lbs to carry in racing weight.

The Tony Carroll yard are also not in the best of form at the moment – heading into today just 2-47 (4%) with their recent runners.

While finally, this 7old has won five times in his career but is yet to score here at Wolves from nine starts.

Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).

Horses Running Today That WON The Same Race Last Year (UK) 🏇👀

What Does NAP Mean In Horse Racing?

The term NAP bet or NAP of the Day in horse racing is often used by tipsters – but what does it actually stand for?

In short, it is the BEST bet of the day and the one that is thought to have the best chance of winning by that tipster.

The term ‘NAP’ is short for the word Napoleon, which comes from a French card game of the same name.

You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘having a NAP hand’ and this is where the term comes from. Having a good, or the best hand in this card game.

What Does NB Mean In Horse Racing?

It’s similar to a NAP — but in horse racing, NB stands for ‘Next Best’.

In simple terms, it’s the tipster’s second-strongest selection of the day. Not quite their headline pick, but the one just behind it in confidence.

How Does A Lucky 15 Horse Racing Bet Work?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular bets in horse racing — and for good reason.

It involves FOUR selections combined into a multiple bet. The name ‘Lucky 15’ comes from the fact that your four picks create 15 separate bets, broken down like this:

  • 6 Doubles
  • 4 Trebles
  • 4 Singles
  • 1 Four-Fold

That’s where the 15 comes from.

A Lucky 15 is also similar to a Super Yankee, although that bet is bigger. A Super Yankee consists of 26 bets in total — 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.

If you fancy today’s selections, you can use our Lucky 15 horse racing tips above to build this type of wager.

How Much Does A Lucky 15 Bet Cost?

Because there are 15 separate bets involved, your total stake is multiplied by 15.

So, for example, a £1 Lucky 15 will cost £15 in total.

If you place it each-way (covering both win and place), the cost doubles. A £1 each-way Lucky 15 would therefore come to £30.

How To Place A Horse Racing Bet?

To place a bet, head to any of the horse racing betting sites, where you’ll see all the day’s fixtures and racecards.

Go to the ‘horse racing’ section and find the meeting and race time your horse is running in. Each runner will be listed with their current odds displayed alongside.

Once you’ve opened an account and deposited funds, you’re ready to go.

Click on the horse you want to back and it will be added to your bet slip. From there, enter your chosen stake and confirm the bet.

That’s it — you’re in.
