Tiger Roll wins 2019 Grand National

Tiger Roll romped home to a 2019 Grand National victory, becoming the first horse to win the prize in back-to-back years since Red Rum.

The horse went off as a 4-1 shot and managed to hold on for a memorable win in front of a packed Aintree crowd on Saturday afternoon.

As a result of Tiger Roll’s success, Gordon Elliott captures jump racing’s most prestigious prize, with Davy Russell aboard his charge.

Magic of Light finished second, with Rathvinden third and Walk in the Mill fourth in the biggest jump race of the calendar year.

There were several high profile horses racing over the prestigious Aintree fences on Saturday, however, the day will be remembered for Tiger Roll’s triumph.

It was a beautiful day on Merseyside to go jump racing, and it won’t take long for the excitement to build once again ahead of the 2020 Grand National.
