The six-day deadline has now passed for the first day of the Cheltenham Festival, and all the big names are still in the running for Prestbury Park glory.

The Unibet Champion Hurdle can boast the likes of Apple’s Jade, Laurina, and Buveur D’Air – the Nicky Henderson star going for a third consecutive victory in the classic.

Apple’s Jade is in hot form, having won all four of her races so far this year, the last three all being Grade One outings.

The seven-year-old will receive a seven lbs sex advantage in the contest, which will be the highlight of Tuesday’s racing.

In other news, Clondaw Castle has been added to the Racing Post Arkle field, which is currently boasting 21 declarations six days out. The Tom George product was in line for the Close Brothers Novice Handicap Chase, but has been switched to the Grade One instead.

Al Dancer and Angels Breath are the ones to watch in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, which remains one of the more intriguing races to lay some money down on.
