Main Edition is ready to follow up his impressive performance at Ascot with a trip to Newmarket to run in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes.

The highly-fancied filly continued her perfect run to start her career, adding to two previous wins at Windsor and Goodwood.

Trainer Mark Johnston has propelled the horse into a higher calibre of race, and the Group Two at Ascot (formerly known as the Cherry Hinton Stakes) will see the two-year-old attempt to go four-for-four over six furlongs.

Owned by Saif Ali, racing manager Bruce Raymond said:

She went there with a lively chance because she’d been impressive before and she was certainly impressive at Ascot. She just kept going,

I imagine she’d go for the Cherry Hinton.

The Duchess of Cambridge Stakes is scheduled for July 13 during that month’s Newmarket Festival, and would present a superb opportunity for the prospect to face off against serious competition.
