No decision on Hunters Call Cheltenham Entry

Trainer Olly Murphy has yet to reach a decision on which race he will enter Hunters Call in at the Cheltenham Festival.

A rookie trainer, Murphy was thrust into the spotlight when Hunters Call won the Racing Welfare Handicap Hurdle at Ascot in December as a 9/1 shot in a field of 17 runners.

Murphy decided not to enter the eight-year-old into the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury, as he looks to keep his stallion fresh ahead of the big meeting at Cheltenham next month.

The precise race Hunters call will be participating in however, is not yet known.

He seems in great form. He’s going to gallop at the end of the week, maybe at Warwick after racing on Friday,

I’m very happy with him, but I’m still a bit undecided about whether I’m going to go County or Coral Cup. We’ll just wait and see what the weather does but he’s bang on course for one of them and we’re all really excited.
