Altior is expected to run, despite being undefeated Hales isn’t ruling out his own mare:

He’s been electric this year and I’m looking forward to it,

It’s nice to see Altior is going to run. It will be a good contest and that’s what it’s all about.

Politilogue is unbeaten over fences over distances exceeding two miles, with one excpetion at Aintree where the 7-year-old fell.

The Paul Nicholls-trained horse will be hoping for a positive result in the Game Spirit Chase, largely due to its standing as a de facto stepping stone to the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham next month.

Altior and Politologue are set to go off favourite and second-favourite respectively, but Hales isn’t conceding defeat just yet:

His jumping is his biggest asset. He’s very quick and very accurate. I call him a coat-of-paint job because he leaves no gap between himself and the fence – there’s no air.

That’s a trait of all the best two-milers, looking back at them.
