The wait after the Irish Gold Cup is over isn’t a long one for the Horse Racing fans, as the eagerly anticipated Cheltenham Festival begins on 13 March. There is plenty for the fans to get stuck into once again, with a total of 28 races taking place.

The main event at the festival will no doubt be the Gold Cup, with many pundits and fans split on who they think will be the winner in what is expected to be a fascinating contest.

The Grand National then starts on 14 April as 40 runners battle over a four-and-a-half mile course for victory.

There is no doubt that the Grand National is the biggest race of the year and is the most famous event in the whole of Horse Racing.

Then, in June, there is the Royal Ascot. The five-day event promises to showcase some spectacular racing with the Queen also most likely present after not missing a single day of the event over the last 60 years.

Keep all these dates in mind and you will definitely be able to enjoy a brilliant year of Horse Racing!
