The surface of the Cheltenham race track is expected to be fine for the crucial upcoming trials which take place on Saturday, according to a report on the Racing Post.
The weather around the entire country has been rainy and stormy, leading to several sporting events to be called off.

However, it seems that Cheltenham has survived the bad patches of weather as the surface looks in good shape for the weekend Cheltenham trials.
Groundsman Simon Claisse, who is in charge of the keeping the track in top condition, is pleased with how the track is at the moment.
He said:
This morning I changed the ground from good to soft, soft in places from soft on the basis of two dry days since Sunday. It is now raining and will have reverted to soft by tea time.
The forecast for the rest of the week doesn’t look good as there are expected to be unsettled conditions, with many warnings of heavy showers and mild temperatures.
Furthermore, the total prize money on the trials day has been boosted to £354,000 this year – an increase of £24,000 on the 2017 level.
It looks like it will be a fascinating contest this weekend, with 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Coneygree (Mark Bradstock) participating, although he has disappointed in two outings so far this season.
