But is up 5lbs for that and meets that rival on 2lbs worse terms now, plus the runner-up also have a 7lb claimer on this time. We’ve also got another CD winner in the race in Halfway House Lad. While despite winning well the last twice the pick is yet to win off a mark in the 80’s. In short, we could be sailing close to the wind here, but with another step forward needed, I’ll take something else to dethrone Kingofthegame. *Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).* * * * ## **Worth Knowing Today – Horse Racing Stats and Fun Facts** - **4:25 RIPON – Last 3 winners from stalls 5-6** - **Trainer David O’Meara is just 2-48 in the last 14 days** - **3:15 RIPON – 7 of the last 9 winners from stalls 1-5** - **1:55 NEWBURY – Godolphin have won 5/16** - **1:55 NEWBURY – 6 of the last 8 from stalls 1 or 2** - **3:37 NEWBURY – 3 of the last 8 winners trained by Richard Hannon** - **3:37 NEWBURY – Last 10 winners from stalls 10+** - **Trainer John & Thady Gosden have a 50% SR in the last 14 days (9-18)** - **1:35 MARKET RASEN – Sean Bowen has won 2 of the last 3** - **2:10 MARKET RASEN – Trainer James Owen has won 2 of the last 3** - **Micky Bowen is 6-12 (50%) with his hurdlers at Market Rasen** - **Tom Lacey is 9-17 (53%) with his hurdlers at Market Rasen** - **2:45 MARKET RASEN – Soul Icon was second in 2024** - **2:45 MARKET RASEN – Harry Cobden has won the last 3** - **3:20 MARKET RASEN – The last 4 favourites have won** - **4:05 MARKET RASEN – Dream Jet won the race in 2024** - **1:10 CURRAGH – Aidan O’Brien has won the last 4** - **4:35 CURRAGH – Aidan O’Brien has won the race 8 times** - **4:17 NEWMARKET – Dashing Dick won this in 2024** - **6:45 DONCASTER – Akkadian Thunder won this in 2024** - **7:15 DONCASTER – Last 2 winners stall 7 – Wilde and Dandy** * * * ## **Today’s Horse Racing Longest Travellers** **Team Player**\ Ewan Whillans\ Newbury 14:25\ 335 miles **Sir Carnegie**\ Mickey Bowen\ Market Rasen 16:40\ 265 miles **Letterston Lily**\ Mickey Bowen\ Market Rasen 14:10\ 265 miles **King Roly**\ Mickey Bowen\ Market Rasen 14:45\ 265 miles **Pour Les Filles**\ Mickey Bowen\ Market Rasen 14:45\ 265 miles **Queensbury Boy**\ Mickey Bowen\ Market Rasen 14:45\ 265 miles **Forest Spirit**\ Mickey Bowen\ Market Rasen 15:20\ 265 miles **Arnie Moon**\ Joe Tickle\ Market Rasen 17:15\ 258 miles **Modern Style**\ Nigel Hawke\ Market Rasen 17:15\ 257 miles **Tommie Beau**\ Seamus Mullins\ Cartmel 15:47\ 256 miles **Soul Icon**\ Keiran Burke\ Market Rasen 14:45\ 245 miles **Stans The Man**\ Ella Pickard\ Market Rasen 14:45\ 243 miles **Fox Wallace**\ Ella Pickard\ Market Rasen 16:05\ 243 miles ## **Horses Running Today That WON The Same Race Last Year *(UK & Ireland)*** - **2:15 CURRAGH: ONE LOOK** - **2:25 NEWBURY: ALMUHIT** - **2:50 CURRAGH: GO ATHLETICO** - **3:10 CURRAGH: WINDS OF WINTER** - **8:25 DONCASTER: ELECTRIC LIGHTNING** ![](https://media.readhorseracing.com/readhorseracing/2026/06/Midnite-Banner.jpg) * * * ## **FROMTHESTABLES – Get Top Daily Info Direct From The BEST Trainers** You can receive top Trainer Info Direct To Your Inboxes….EVERY MORNING (Daily FREE Quote Below) **Take a Look For Yourself –**[**JOIN FTS FOR JUST £1 HERE**](https://www.fromthestables.com/14daysfree/quotes/50/) **with PROMO CODE** ***‘POUNDTRIAL’*** ### **Today’s FREE QUOTE: SATURDAY 18th July 2026** **💬** **1:55 Newbury: OCEANS FOUR (11/2 [Midnite](https://affiliate.midnite.com/C.ashx?btag=a_3358b_322c_&affid=924&siteid=3358&adid=322&c=))** *“Oceans Four ran a terrific race in a Group 3 at Ascot. Ignored at 80/1 in the market, despite having plenty of good form behind him, he finished a close 4th and in a couple more strides would have been an even closer 2nd.
