Went up 4lbs for that and just failed to follow-up at Pontefract next time. Is off the same mark here but had a 7lb claimer riding the last day and doesn’t today. All four wins have been when rated lower than today’s mark too – so despite looking to have an obvious chance – will need a career-best here. *Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).* * * * ## **Worth Knowing Today – Horse Racing Stats and Fun Facts** - **Trainer Dan Skelton has a 59% SR in the last 14 days** - **Jockey Harry Skelton has a 58% SR in the last 14 days** - **2:30 Ascot: Trainer Wesley Ward has won 3 of the last 11** - **2:30 Ascot: 10 of the last 11 winners from stalls 10+** - **3:05 Ascot: Trainer Aidan O’Brien has won 8 of the last 23** - **3:40 Ascot: The Gosden yard have won 4 of the last 6** - **4:20 Ascot: The last back-to-back winner was in 1994-95** - **4:50 Hamilton: The last 4 winners from stalls 2 or 3** - **Trainer William Haggas has a 60% SR with his runners at Ffos Las** * * * ## **Today’s Horse Racing Longest Travellers** **Noche Clasica**\ Edward Bethell\ Ascot 15:40\ 243 miles **Thunder Run**\ K R Burke\ Ascot 17:00\ 243 miles **Crystal Flyer**\ Ben Haslam\ Ascot 17:35\ 243 miles **Francophone**\ Charlie Johnston\ Ascot 15:40\ 243 miles **Ravenspire**\ K R Burke\ Ascot 15:05\ 243 miles **Oolong Poobong**\ Edward Bethell\ Ascot 17:35\ 243 miles **Holloway Boy**\ K R Burke\ Ascot 17:00\ 243 miles **Arisaig**\ Charlie Johnston\ Ascot 15:40\ 243 miles **Wild Blossom**\ K R Burke\ Ascot 14:30\ 243 miles **Love A Giggle**\ K R Burke\ Ascot 14:30\ 243 miles ## **Horses Running Today That WON The Same Race Last Year *(UK & Ireland)*** - **4:02 Hamilton: IRIS DANCER** - **4:20 Ascot: OMBUDSMAN** ![](https://media.readhorseracing.com/readhorseracing/2026/06/Midnite-Banner.jpg) * * * ## **FROMTHESTABLES – Get Top Daily Info Direct From The BEST Trainers** You can receive top Trainer Info Direct To Your Inboxes….EVERY MORNING (Daily FREE Quote Below) **Take a Look For Yourself –**[**JOIN FTS FOR JUST £1 HERE**](https://www.fromthestables.com/14daysfree/quotes/50/) **with PROMO CODE** ***‘POUNDTRIAL’*** ### **Today’s FREE QUOTE: WEDNESDAY 17th June 2026** **💬** **20:45 Ffos Las Grand Pier – [(9/4 with Midnite)](https://affiliate.midnite.com/C.ashx?btag=a_3358b_322c_&affid=924&siteid=3358&adid=322&c=)** *” Grand Pier was unlucky in running last time out.
