**As we head into FRIDAY 5th June 2026, see Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY horse racing tip, which comes from [MUSSELBURGH](https://www.musselburgh-racecourse.co.uk/) today.**

Plus, Andy also showcases the **longest travellers**, any horses running that **WON THE SAME RACES** last season and some key **racing stats and facts** to take into the day’s action.

## **Andy Newton’s Lay Of The Day Horse Racing Tip: Friday 5th June 2026**

### 4:15 Musselburgh: WOOHOO

CD winner for the Jim Goldie yard and a mare that jockey Lauren Young gets on well with.

Won three runs ago here too so the return to Musselburgh looks a plus.

However, is also up 3lbs for that last win and has failed to win off this higher mark since.

Her 5 career wins have also all come off lower ratings and despite looking a winnable race, I just feel she’d need a career-best today in a race with many other chances.

*Note: Some picks can drift during the day (obviously we have no control of that) – but I’d say if they hit 8.0+ they are prob best left (for obvious reasons).*
