With bank holiday weekend soon upon us in the UK and Ireland, check out the Easter horse racing meetings coming up with a hot slate of action from Good Friday through to Easter Monday.
Easter Horse Racing Meetings 2026 – Irish National & AW Finals
It’s a hugely busy weekend in the UK and Ireland with 25 meetings across the four days, giving punters plenty to indulge in this Easter.
Good Friday – Easter Horse Racing Meetings (03/04/26)
Interestingly, Good Friday doesn’t have any National Hunt racing. This has been tradition since 2013 when ARC (Arena Racing Company) created All-Weather Championships Finals Day.
Lingfield and Newcastle both have seven races with the All-Weather Finals taking place at those two tracks. Chelmsford also host an all-weather meeting, but there is no affiliation to the AWC.
The sole meeting in Ireland comes from the Curragh where we see a competitive couple of maidens and the feature Group 3 Park Express Stakes. Paddy Twomey won the race last year with One Look, who was purchased by Wathnan Racing a few months after that success.

Easter Saturday – Easter Horse Racing Meetings (04/04/26)
It’s a huge day of racing on Easter Saturday with EIGHT meetings across the UK and Ireland.
After a one day hiatus from National Hunt racing, five jumps meetings take place. Four of those are in the UK with Carlisle, Haydock, Huntingdon, Newton Abbot and the Irish Grand National meeting gets underway at Fairyhouse in Ireland.
Action on the flat comes from Cork in Ireland and Musselburgh in the UK for their first meeting of the season.
Meanwhile Wovlerhampton stage the sole all-weather meeting of the day.
Musselburgh and Haydock are the lucky tracks to make the ITV Racing schedule on Saturday.

Easter Sunday – Easter Horse Racing Meetings (05/04/26)
Much like Saturday, Sunday is busy with six meetings.
Market Rasen and Plumpton are the jumps fix for UK punters whilst Bath host their first raceday of the new turf season. Southwell also have an all-weather meeting.
They race in Ireland once again and Cork revert back to jumps after their flat meeting on Saturday.
The second day of the Irish National meeting at Fairyhouse takes place with two Grade 1’s on the card including the Honeysuckle Mares’ Novice Hurdle which was won by Aurora Vega last season.

Easter Monday – Easter Horse Racing Meetings (06/04/26)
The racing this Easter comes thick and fast as Easter Monday sees another seven meetings take place.
Fakenham, Hereford and Plumpton race over jumps in the UK with Kempton and Wolverhampton opening their doors for all-weather action.
In Ireland, Cork and Fairyhouse race for a third day in a row with the feature Irish Grand National headlining at the latter.
Rebecca Curtis’ Haiti Couleurs won the race last year but will go for the English equivalent this time around.
