Despite Lossiemouth now being in the race, Dineen is sticking by his decision to NAP up The New Lion in the opening day’s feature race.
Running in the JP McManus silks, The New Lion will be looking for back-to-back Cheltenham Festival wins. He won the Turners Novices’ Hurdle last year.

Majborough is the Johnny Dineen NAP of the day on day two of the Festival. Johnny is keeping it simple once again as he tips the Champion Chase favourite.
It’s not the strongest renewal of the Wednesday feature and if Willie Mullins‘ horse jumps well enough, he may just have enough class to take care of his rivals.
He was last seen winning the Dublin Chase at Leopardstown and it was one of his best performances to date.
Majborough arrives looking to win at Cheltenham for a second time after winning the 2024 Triumph Hurdle. His jumping lost him last year’s Arkle Novices’ Chase but he has a strong favourites chance here.

Meetmebythesea is the Johnny Dineen NAP of the Day on Thursday. This has been the season-long target for Ben Pauling’s horse and he gets in off 139 and he could just be ‘chucked in’
JP McManus owns him, so he must have a chance given how well the billionaire tycoon does at the festival. Meetmebythesea has been popular amongst the punters in the antepost markets and now heads the betting entirely.
He was unbeaten over fences before finding the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury a struggle last time, but this drop in class should suit massively.

Its On The Line is Johnny Dineen’s NAP of the day on Gold Cup day. Amazingly, this horse has been second in this race THREE times, so could it finally be time to win the Hunters Chase?
He had a warm up for the Festival with a run over in a PTP in Cragmore back in January, so should be primed and ready for this. And if he does come second again, there’s a good chance he’ll be back again next year.
