Willie Mullins confirms that Un De Sceaux will return to action in the Grade 2 Devenish Chase at Fairyhouse this bank holiday Monday.
The ten-year-old will be seeking revenge come Monday after a poor performance last time out, after being sent off as hot favourite to land the spoils in the Ryanair Chase. However, he failed to defend his title, and was turned over on the day by the impressive Balko Des Flos.
A winner of 20 races under rules in his time, and a three time winner of the Clarence House Chase will line up once again on Monday afternoon, and it looks set to be a mouth-watering renewal with Edward Harty’s Coney Island.

Both runners will be eager to redeem themselves at Fairyhouse, having failed to perform to their very best when last seen on the track. Especially Coney Island, who was immediately pulled up after a bad mistake at the 10th fence in the Ascot Chase back in February.
However, positive news for Un De Sceaux fans. Is that this will be a slight drop in class for Willie Mullins’ charge, and also his favoured ground.

Also back in action is Getabird, after struggling with the testy conditions at Cheltenham, finishing a remote 11th, Mullins has delcared his six-year-old in the Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Novices Hurdle and expects a better performance with his sights lowered.
Getabird is an impressive four from four when running right-handed and Fairyhouse is a right-handed track, so it looks to have a great chance to resume his progressive profile.
