Supasundae a possible entry for Aintree

Trainer Jessica Harrington has revealed she is considering entering Supasundae in the Betway Aintree Hurdle next month, and then the Champions Stayer’s Hurdle a fortnight later.

The talented eight-year-old has been enjoying a good run of form in Grade One races, finishing in the top two horse on each of the last three occasions he has taken to the course.

At Cheltenham, a superb run in the Stayers’ Hurdle proved two lengths off the pace to beat an incredible run by Penhill, and Harrington is eager to keep her horse’s form up.

Whilst her options are open, the supremely talented Harrington acknowledged Aintree and Punchestown were possibilities:

There’s not a bother on him. He’s in great form,

We’re not quite sure, but he might go to Aintree and Punchestown.

With respects to Our Duke, a Gold Cup fancy who fell wildly off the pace on Friday, Harrington was again not particularly forthcoming:

He hasn’t done much since he came back. He’s actually been in his stable because we’ve had snow,

He’s fine, he’s sound and back in one piece and that’s the main thing.

Speaking of late pull and last year’s Gold Cup winner Sizing John, the Irishwoman said:

He gets rescanned on Thursday this week and then we’ll have an update on him,
