Punchestown Festival attracts stellar line-up

Most of the major jump racing Festivals are now behind us but the Punchestown Festival provides jump racing fans with one more chance to see a wide array of stars from Tuesday April 25 to Saturday April 29.

One of the biggest clashes of the week will be between Irish and Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Sizing John who takes on 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Coneygree in the G1 Coral Punchestown Gold Cup.

The Festival is also expected to be important in deciding the winner of the Irish jump trainers championship which County Meath handler Gordon Elliott currently leads by over £300,000 from Willie Mullins, who has won the title a phenomenal 10 times. If Elliott were to win the title, it would be his first ever.
